I'm writing a fanfic about Dingo and I'm really sorry if someone already did it but I've not seen one like this.

Dingo has a new family with his girl Lou Lou.But what will he do when a storm comes to Nome and he gets seperated from his family?Will he live on will he be gone soon?

The sun rose on another crisp winter day in Nome.The sun glistened off the white snow that had fallen the night before.No foot prints had disturbed the snow since the day before.

Suddenly the town was awake with activity as the shops opened their doors and the school bell sounded.The children rushed to the small school waving to their parents.The adults of the town walked around to the different shops including the mail office,the butchers,the general store and the bakery.The wonderful smells of cakes floated down the street as the busy day began.

"Bye bye Dingo!"a little girl with brown braids said to her dog as she hugged him.He smiled and licked her small hand before she hugged her mother and ran into the school just before the last bell tolled.The little girls mother Mrs.Sable pulled on Dingo's leash."Come along boy.We've got food to get,"she said as they walked to the general store.Dingo's paws crunched along the snow and he thought of how much he loved that sound.Mrs.Sable nodded and smiled at the people of the town that they passed and Dingo did the same to the dogs.

They stopped outside the General Store then entered with a little bell ringing above their heads."Morning Mrs.Sable.Lou Lou off to school?"the shop keep asked.Mrs.Sable nodded and smiled at him."I'll have a butter and a milk please,"she said as Dingo sat down beside her.The shop keep pulled them down for her.He put them in front of her and then he looked down at Dingo."Here ya go boy,"he said throwing Dingo a doggie cookie.Dingo ate it up before Mrs.Sable could take it back."Oh he just had his breakfast you cheeky boy,"she said pulling Dingo's cheek.He barked happily and licked the shop keeps hand in thanks.They both laughed as Mrs.Sable went into her pocket for her purse.Instead she pulled out a small brown bag."Oh dear!Lou Lou's homework!Dingo,"she said bending down and giving Dingo the bag."Take this to Lou Lou boy."Dingo nodded and ran out the snow and back into the crisp morning the bell ringing above his head.

He ran in the snow nodding quickly at the other dogs as he passed them.Soon he was outside the school house.He didn't wait outside for her he just ran right inside the door that was ajar.The children screamed witn pleasure as they saw him walk in."A doggie!"they said happily reaching in to pet him as he walked down the row of desks.The teacher looked very displeased."Who's dog is that?"she asked pointing her ridged finger at Dingo.Lou Lou who was sitting in the corner facing the wall turned around.She ran over to Dingo and took the bag from his mouth."Its my homeowork,"she said quitely.She must have been in trouble for not having it so she had to sit in the corner, Dingo thought.The teacher sighed."Tell your dog to go home and sit down in your seat Miss.Leslie Lou,"the teacher said taking Lou Lou's homework.Lou Lou nodded and led Dingo by the collar to the door."By boy,"she whispered giving him a hug and closing the door.

Dingo was confused.He cocked his head at the closed door.He thought she loved him but she closed him out.With his ears low and his tail between his legs he walked back out on to the crunching snow.This time it did not make him happy as he walked towards the General Store.As he entered the bell dinged abover his head.He sadly sat down beside Mrs.Sable who was busy talking to the shop keep."Oh good boy,"she said patting his head finally relizing he was there.She clipped his leash back on and waved goodbye to the shop keep.They left with on last dingle from the bell.

As he walked out into the snow again he saw the mail team was coming in.Mrs.Sable unclipped his leash and walked away leaving Dingo alone.Dingo watched as the mail team came into the mail office.He rolled his eyes and looked away.His brother always wanted to show off after he had gotten back with their dad Balto.Dingo and Balto were the best father and son ever and Dingo did'nt want that to change.But it seemed Kodi was butting in with his new mail job.Balto was very proud after Kodi had become lead dog of the sled team.Dingo hated his brother for this.

"Hey Dingo,"Kodi said as the musher pulled off his harness and he walked over to Dingo.


"What do you want?"he asked.


"Fine,"Kodi said angerly,"I want you to stop being an idiot.Oh ya and me and dad are going to spead a day together tomorrow." Dingo growled at him as Kodi smiled evily."Shut it moron,"Dingo said walking away.Kodi jumped in front of him."Aww is wittle Dingy go unhapwey?"Kodi asked him in a baby voice.Dingo growled again and walked off."It must be pretty hard,"Kodi said.Dingo turned around to face him."Pretty hard for what?"he asked angerly.

"For dad to have a son like you who won't do anything important with his life,"Kodi said evily.Kodi walked away with his friends laughing at Dingo.

Dingo lowered his head as he walked away.His brother was always making fun of him.Why couldn't they just go back to when they were pups and the best of friends?he smiled as he thought of all the times they played on the beach in the warm sand.He looked up to see he had reached the end of the town with the beach a few steps away.Balto's boat sat quitely on the sand as the seagulls flew around it.Dingo nodded to himself and began to walk towards the boat determined to ask for his fathers opion on the matter stuck in his head.

The old boat groaned as he climbed the ladder to the snowy deck above.He looked at the veiw of the sea and the town.He always loved to come here and take in the freash air.He moved his paws to show other freash pawprints.Obviously his father was in.

After one quick glance around the boat he found his father in the cabin sleeping.Holding his breath Dingo reached out and poked Balto with his paw.Balto reacted with a whoosh of his tail and a low short growl."Dad?"Dingo asked.Balto shook his head,the blanket falling to finally show his large yellow tired eyes."Oh its just you Dingo,"Balto said in his raspy voice.Pulling himself to his wobling paws he shook the blanket off as it fell to the floor with a soft thud.He yawned and streatched his long racing legs."Why arn't you with Lou Lou?"Balto asked scratching his head with his paw.

"She's at school dad,"Dingo reminded his father.

"Oh right,"Balto said walking past Dingo to drink from his water bowl.Dingo followed him saying,"Dad why won't you be proud of me?"Balto looked at his son confused and surprised."How did that come to your head?" he asked looking at him.Dingo looked at his paws then walked to the bow of the boat looking at the sea sadly."Your more proud of Kodi than you are of me,"Dingo said his back to his father.Balto walked up at sat down beside Dingo."Son I love all my pups the exact same way.Now you two have got to stop fighting,"Balto said.

"Your a parent.Thats what your supposed to say,"Dingo said sadly.

"I know you both want to be friends again,"he said smiling.Dingo nodded sadly as the wind blew his fur.Balto nodded too but kept smiling at his son."Hey,"he said,"why don't we spend a day together."

"Really?You and me?"Dingo asked excitedly.Balto nodded as he nuzzled his son."Thanks dad,"Dingo said happily."See ya!"He jumped off the deck and into the mushy snow.

Slipping and sliding he made his way back into town where the day was only beginning.Running down the street he spotted Mrs.Sable in the bakery.He pushed the door open and ran over to her sitting down."Oh there you are,"she said to him.He nodded his tounge hanging out his mouth.She clipped his leash back on and picked up the box on the counter."Thank you,"she said happily.Together they walked out the door and into the snow.Dingo jumped up to sniff the box."What in there?!"he barked.

"Dingo down,"Mrs.Sable smiled.He whined and kept his eyes on the box.He had to sniff it for anything dangerous just like he sniffed that cat Mrs.Sable brought home one day.He knew it was dangerous so he chased it right out the door.

Mrs.Sable opened the door and walked in Dingo jumping around her feet.She closed the door and put the package down.Dingo immediatly began sniffing it.It smelled like heaven to him as he tried to open it with his nose."Dingo,"he heard her say.He looked at her inocently as she was putting away her coat."No no no,"she said wagging her finger at him.He whined and sat down staring at the box.

She opened it but he still couldn't see it.She showed him, it was a white cake with the words Happy Birthday Lou Lou.Mrs.Sable smiled at him as he licked his lips."None for you.It will make you sick,"she said closing the box and putting it up in a cupboard.Dingo whined again as she walked away.He sat down on the carpet thinking of the great cake he was missing out on."Come here Dingo,"Mrs.Sable called.He got up and walked over to her sighing.

She grabbed his large paw and dipped it in ink.Then she put his paw on a small card.It took up quite a bit of space on the card Dingo thought as she washed his paw."Thanks buddy,"she said putting his paw down.He looked at both paws as one was clean and the other was dirty.He whined showing her his paws.She smiled and beagan washing his other paw.

THUMP THUMP THUIMP!"What?!Wheres the fire?"Dingo asked looking up.He shook his blanket off his head to see Lou Lou's bag sitting beside the door.He pulled himself up and walked sleepily over to the boots.He sniffed the insde of them and smiled as he knew that was her.

"Yay yay!"Lou Lou yelled from the kitchen.Dingo ran in thinking there was something wrong but found Lou Lou smiling with her mother looking at her card."Happy Birthday to my special girl,"Lou Lou read,"look Dingo signed it too momma!"she yelled pointing at the card for her mother to see.Lou Lou suddenly noticed Dingo was in the room.She ran over to him and gave him a huge hug."Thanks Dingo,"she said as he nuzzled her.

After she got her present which was a new bookbag,a hat and a doll.She opened them on the floor beside Dingo who sniffed them first.Mr and Mrs.Sable smiled from their seats by the fire.Soon Mrs.Sable brought out the cake which Lou Lou claped her hands for.Dingo whined as Mr.Sable held on to his bandana.

Finally after the cake was gone he was free from Mr.Sable's grasp.He nuzzled Lou Lou who laughed and hugged him.Dingo lay down next to her smiling dreamily as she played with her doll.

Soon it was her bed time so Dingo followed her up the stairs.She pulled on her nightgown and jumped into bed.Dingo pulled the sheets with his teeth up to her chin.He licked her cheek and then blew the candle out with his nose.

After leaving the room he walked down the stairs to see Mr and Mrs.Sable getting ready for bed.They patted his head and bid him goodnight as they closed their bed room door.Dingo smiled to himself as he spun around then lay down on the carpet by the cracking fire.He was about to close his eyes when he lifted his head.There was something coming...something umplesant....something destructive....something terrible.He looked around for a theif but saw no one but his shadow against the waving fire.

He slowly put his head back down frowning.But just as his head hit his paws it came back up again.What was that feeling he felt?This time he pulled himself to his paws his ears straight up on his head.

After turning his head several times he proceded to the staircase where he ran up the stairs two at a time.He pushed Lou Lou's door open and peaked inside.She was asleep her rising chest only seen by moonlight under the blankets.He closed the door and shook his head.There was nothing wrong, he told himself as he began to head for the stairs.

But again his senses jumped.He growled at himself for being so foolish.He looked down the hall to the window at the end.He slowly walked towards it and jumped up placing his paws on the framing on the window.He looked out to the sky to see a very large,very black cloud headed for Nome.

He whined as the cloud flew closer.The town below him was empty as everyone was asleep.Dingo barked and ran into Lou Lou's room.Lou Lou winced awake as Dingo pulled on her sleeve.

Mr and Mrs.Sable ran in to her room."The dogs gone mad!"Mr.Sable yelled.He ran over to pull Dingo away but Dingo turned and growled showing his teeth at her father.He backed away as Dingo turned back to the now frightened Lou Lou.

Suddenly he was pulled away from her.He choked as the collar dug into his neck.He barked as Lou Lou dissapered behind her bed room wall."No no!"he yelled his eyes bulging out his head from the pain of the collar against his neck.

Soon he found himself in the basment.Her father threw him in then locked the door.Dingo banged and pawed at it as he barked till he was horse.He heard Lou Lou crying,"daddy your scaring him!Let him out let him out!"

"Sorry sweetheart but,"a bang was heard from outside the door probably Mr.Sable putting a chair in fron of the door,"but Dingo's not Dingo.Go back to bed."

"I will NOT!"she poutted.Suddenly he heard her screaming.He barked and growled at Mr.Sable for doing this to himself and Lou Lou.Soon her screams faded and Mr.Sable was whispering to himself."Dogs gone mad,"he said to himself,"must get rid of him humanly."

Suddenly the front door opened and closed and then it was silent.Dingo bit into the wood of the door trying to tear it apart.He spit out bit of wood until a small hole big enough for him to see out was made.He looked out it to the room was empty of any living things except the fire whoose shadow was glinting against the wall.Mr.Sable's coat and shoes were gone so he must have left but Lou Lou and Mrs.Sable must have gone upstairs.

He pushed his head against the door.He winced as he stepped on a peice of wood.He looked at his paw as he saw a large splinter.He pulled it out as a tear escaped his eye.He was scared for the first time in his life.

After pawing at the door again and again he heard the front door open.He looked out to see Mr.Sable ruunning up the stairs in such a hurry he forgot to close the door.He heard screams and shouts of panic from outside.Suddenly Mr and Mrs.Sable came back down the stairs holding a crying Lou Lou.They ran out the door leaving it wide open.

Dingo pushed and pawed at the door.Finally he ran at it as it finally broke down.Dingo fell on top of it.He pulled himself up and shook his head.He looked back to see his bandana hanging from a nail by the door.He must have pulled it off when he ran at the door.He shook his head again and ran out the door.He had more problems to care about.

He was shocked to see what he saw.The town was in utter panic as they all ran in the other direction of the black cloud.Dingo saw they had their valubles with them as they ran.Where were they going?More importanly where was Lou Lou?"Lou Lou?!"he barked from the door step.He ran with the crowd to find her.

People in front of him kicked snow in his face as they were running.He collasped as the snow had got in his eye.He slowly looked up to see the cloud was coming closer.He then looked down and saw the last team of dogs with last humans we leaving."Wait!"he barked.He tried to pull himself up but fell down in the snow with a crunch.He cried as the dogs began barking and the last sled pulled away."Don't leave me!"he cried in the snow.

But they were already gone from the town.He cried as he pulled himself up out of the snow.The cloud was now on top of him as he cried into the snow.New snow fell from the sky as he hobbled away into the nearest house.He pushed the door closed as the snow swirled faster.He lay down by the fire crying."How could they leave me?"he barked to himself.

Suddenly the door blew open and the hail and snow poured in.The fire crackled as Dingo screamed.Suddenly the fire caught the carpet and the blaze began.He screamed as he jumped back outside into the snow.He ran from the house and towards the place the humans dissapeared.

He fell over a patch of ice a safe distance from the town.He got up and looked back at the town tears falling from his eyes.The houses roof fell in as the blaze spread.He winced as the fire glimered against his eyes.He jumped up and ran as fast as he could away from the flames.

Soon he found himself outside a large dark forest.He stared in as he swallowed hard.His instincts told him not to go in but he knew there was something in their he couldn't live without.It must be Lou Lou he thought.He slowly entered the forest his tail between his legs his ears low.It seemed to be getting darker as he went deeper into the never ending forest.The leaves flew away hoping not to get stepped on by his large wolf like paws.

Suddenly he stopped as his instincts were acting up again.He backed up his ears up.He howled as he fell the ground because somthing hit his head.He opened his eyes a little to see a white shadow standing in front of him."Relax,"it said in a dream like voice."Everything is okay."

He moaned as he woke up."My head,"he said painfully.

"Shhh!He's waking up,"voices giggled.He slowly opened his eyes to see two green eyes staring at him."Hello handsome,"it said.

"AHHH!"Dingo yelled as he backed away his eyes wide open with fear.He saw it was three girl wolves staring happily at him.They batted their eyelashes and fluffed their tails as he stared at them."Who who are you?"he asked them.

"I'm April,"the gray wolf said,"this is my sister June,"she pointed at the brown wolf,"and my other sister May,"she pointed to the black wolf.They again batted their eyelashes and came closer to him."Heh,"Dingo said backing away more,"look ladies.I'm flattered I really am but..."He had no excuses as they stared at him hopfully.Embrassed his ears lowered and his cheeks turned as red as his coat."I've never met a red wolf before,"May said.

"I've never met a stud before,"April her sister challenged.

"I've...never met a canine,"June said stupidly.Her sisters glared at her as she smiled."Girls,"another voice said.He looked over to see a white wolf enter."Ooooo,"he said quitely watching the white wolf flip her tail.Now thats what you call beauty he thought."Leave the dog alone.He needs rest without you here to bug him,"she said in a soft older sister voice.The girls cowered and left staring angerly at the white wolf.

She watched them out then turned back to Dingo."I see you've met my sisters,"she said walking up to him.He nodded as no words could escape his throat.She sat down in front of him and smiled."I'm Shakira the alpha female of the Orca Pack,"she said to him as she stuck out her paw for a shake.Instead he kissed her paw."Hello,"he said as she pulled her paw back."How dare you!"she growled slapping him across the muzzle with her paw.She jumped up and walked out the cave leaving him alone rubbing his muzzle.He walked to the entrance to see her sitting by a tree smiling at her paw.Then she licked it then walked away smiling.

That day the three girls showed him around the forest.He smiled at them trying to look interested but he was really looking for Shakira and her brilliant blue eyes.Everytime he saw her she would run away before he could say anything.

That night the wolves gathered around a fire.May pulled Dingo into the circle and they sat down.Suddenly a large brown wolf entered the circle.Everyone bowed their head as he walked around the fire.June pulled Dingo down into a bow as the wolf passed him.He stared at him angerly as he passed.Dingo glared back as he didn't like him from the beginning.

Suddenly he saw Shakira so he pulled his head back up."Shakira,"he whispered.She growled at him and whispered,"get down."The other wolf growled and jumped over to Dingo."Who dares to talk while I am here?"he growled at Dingo.They glared at each other.The wolf was large brown wolf with ruff fur and battle marks."Please Soir.He was only talking to me,"Shakira said to the wolf.He looked at her then growled once more at Dingo."If I hear you move in on my girl I'll tear you to shreads,"he growled at Dingo.

"Keep your tail on.She's not interested in me,"Dingo growled back.Soir growled once more before he kept walking.Shakira looked up at Dingo sadly then followed Soir.Dingo kept glaring at Soir until he sat down Shakira sitting next to him.

Then the wolves hwoled together as Dingo watched them.Finally peices of deer were passed out to all wolves of the clan.Dingo watched them all as he looked at his deer.It still had blood on it.He finally dove in plugging his nose.He back up chewing on a peice of meat.It wasn't that bad he thought as he swallowed it.He took another bu and another until it was gone.When he looked back up he saw Shakira was gone.He looked around as he swallowed the last peice of meat.He saw a white shadow walking deeper into the forest"Save my place May,"he said.She nodded as he walked off following the shadow.

Deeper into the forest he couldn't see her."Looking for me?"she asked him as she dropped down from a tree.

"Oh!No!I was just looking for the cave,"he lied.

"Way out here?In the dark?"she smiled getting closer to his face,"uh huh."She smiled and walked past him."Okay,"he said following her,"so you caught me.So what are you doing out here?"

"To get away,"she said,"and to see this."They stopped at a small pond."Whats the big attraction,"Dingo asked looking around.It seemed like the rest of the forest."Are you kidding?"she asked looking at him,"this is the brightest spot in the forest."She looked up at the sky and Dingo did he same.

He gasped when he saw what she meant.The northen lights danced across the sky.They glimmered across the lake and bounced off the fur.Dingo smiled as he watched the lights on the pond.He looked at his reflection and saw Shakira's.She smiled at him and blinked because of the lights.He looked at the real her and she looked away smiling.He smiled as he saw one red rose growing by the pond.He picked it up and walked back over to Shakira.She playfully looked away as he tried to give it to her.

She then smiled at him and took the rose.She put it at her paws then looked back up at Dingo's brown eyes.Her eyes sparkled against the lights.Then it came as if it was normal as she nuzzled his head.He nuzzled her back as they watched the Northern Lights.She lay down and he put his head top of her.They fell asleep together by the pond,under the northern lights.

The next morning he woke up to find Shakira under his head.He smiled and nuzzled her head.She yawned and woke up.They both sat up and looked at each other.Shakira drank from the lake and Dingo did the same.Then she looked around."We have to get back before Soir finds us,"she said.She beagn walking back and Dingo ran to keep up with her.

They got back to the pack to see only two wolves were left watching the pups."Oh alpha!"one wolf said running up to Shakira."We were all so worried,"he said.

"Where is everyone?"she asked him.

"Hunting,"was all he answered.She sighed and nodded.The wolf went back to the pups.Shakira looked happily at the pups as they played.Then she walked away."Hey hey hey wait!"Dingo said running in front of her."Whats the matter?"

"I don't want to talk about it,"she said angerly.She stomped towards the exit of the forest.She then began running as Dingo yelled,"Wait!"He ran after her until they came to the end of the forest.

He was breathing heavily as she sat down watching the morning sun.Dingo sat down next to her.She suddenly nuzzled him as she cried."Oh Dingo.They expect so highly of me but I'm only one wolf,"she cried.Dingo nuzzled her back whispering,"shhh."

Suddenly he fell over as something large landed on him.He truned over to come nose to nose with Soir."What did I tell you pup?"he growled.Dingo pushed him off and pinned him."I am no pup!"he barked.

Soir pushed him off as he landed in the snow.Dingo shook his head as he looked up at Soir.He was glaring at him as he came closer.Dingo jumped up and bit Soir's paw.Soir howled and shook Dingo off.Dingo got back up and jumped on Soir's back.Soir was large but he was very slow as he tried to buck Dingo off.Finally Dingo flew off and hit the snow hard.He looked up only to here a bang.Soir fell over and Shakira ran up to him screaming,"nooo!"

Dingo looked past her and saw a hunter point his gun at her.Dingo raced past her and attacked the hunter.The hunter screamed out in pain as Dingo pulled his gun out his hands.After Dingo jumped off the human ran as fast as he could leaving his bag of bullets and his gun.

Dingo turned back to see Shakira crying over Soir.With his tail between his legs and his ears low he walked back up to them."Soir stay with me,"she cried.

"I was mistaken.He deserves you Shakira.I don't,"he coughed.Dingo sat down and looked at Soir."I've been a fool and taken you for granted,"Soir said to Shakira putting his paw up to her muzzle."Your not meant to be a alpha.Well not yet,"they all chuckled."But don't stop living your life.I love ya hun."His eyes then closed and his paw fell from her muzzle.

He cried out as she nuzzled him.Dingo looked down at the snow stained with blood.

That night the pack howled long and sad.Shakira cried into Dingo's fur.He nuzzled her and she cried even more.Dingo stayed with them for a month before he thought of home.His home...Nome.

He looked up at the sky one afternoon thinking of Lou Lou.Shakira came up behind him and sat down."Dingo what's wrong?"she asked him.

"Its my old family,"he had told her all about them,"I was wondering if they missed me."She looked away."You want to go back don't you?"she asked.He nodded sadly."But!"he said facing,"I want you to come with me!"She smiled but looked at him."I'm needed here,"she whispered.He sighed and nuzzled her once more.He walked a little away still staring at her.She howled and Dingo howled back.

Then he ran.He was going home for the first time in a month!What would he say?What would he do?He was lost as he saw Nome for the first time in a month.It was busy again and the burnt house was a new home.He looked around and smiled as he saw Lou Lou walking with her mother.He barked and ran down the hill towards her.She looked up and yelled,"mama its Dingo!Its Dingo!"He ran to her arms and they hugged right in the middle of the street."Hes okay!"she yelled as she hugged him more.

Soon he was back to his normal self with his blue bandana on.He smiled as it was Christmas time and Lou Lou was opening her presents.She laughed as she got a new bandana for Dingo.She tied the star bandana around his neck as he barked happily.

After they were eating their turkey dinner.He walked outside and watched the stars.This would be such a better Christmas if...He then heard someone clear their throat.He looked over to jump up and bark happily.It was Shakira!"You came!"he yelled nuzzling her.

"I couldn't live without you,"she said.Lou Lou ran out and pointed."Look mama!Dingo's got a girlfriend!"she said running over to pet her.Shakira winced as if she thought Lou Lou's touch would hurt her but she relaxed when she scratched under her ears.

"Oh mama!"Lou Lou said turning to her mother,"can we keep her please!?"she said.Mrs.Sable smiled at Mr.Sable."Sure ya can sweetheart,"he smiled.Lou Lou jumped up and ran into the house.She came back out with Dingo's old bandna.She tied it around Shakira's neck."I'm gonna call you Snowy,"she said petting her head.

To Dingo this was the best Christmas present ever...
