I hate how people in my school pick on my best friend for having ginger hair. They sometimes call him "Ginja Ninja" and it bothers him. They're all a bunch of chavs so they seem to pick on anybody for any reason. Even his history teacher did the same! I just hate how people are picked on for that reason. Anyone here get the same or know someone?

This whole "ginger" thing confuses me. I don't understand the reference (and I've seen it used before by Brits). Does it mean "red", "auburn", or something else? Or is it some sort of weird artificial coloring?

When I was younger I used to get teased all of the time because of my name... And then most people grew up and stoped. But now in High School there are some little Freshman (I'm a sophomre) that keep on teasing me. >< I'm a 'yearbook nerd, and band geek', which in my shcool isn't the best combination, excpecialy when you have never been considered 'cool'.

But just tell your friend to ignore those people and to not pay any attention. They aren't worth his time.

This is a new one in my book, making fun of someone cause of their hair color. I've never seen it or heard of it until now. Does anyone have any idea where the heck this would come from, besides some people are insecure idiots who needs to beat down someone else to make themselves feel better about themselves. I'd just ignore them as much as possible.

Trust me there is many idiots in the world and many of them are at my school. I was teased when I was small cuz I hung out with a boy and they all thought we were going out (and trust me that was the fatherest thing that I ever wanted).Goin out?I was only in grade 5!

Anyway its not very nice to do that to people but I have to say I have teased a few people that I don't like that much.Come on we've all done it at least once.

My cousin's ginger. She always gets called mean names. Luckily she's popular so it doesn't happen so much. I'm blonde though, there's nothing much to dis about blondes. Well we're dumb (well I am).

Most people who pick on other people are jealous of whatever they're picking on. For example, if you're being picked on because you're doing really well in school, it normally means that the person who is picking on you gets bad grades and is struggling to do better. They try to make it look "cool" to get bad grades and they portray people who do well as nerds, which really isn't fair at all.

I used to be picked on for being the only female in the school to play trumpet, but I just ignored it. Once they see that you're not taking what they say offensively, they'll leave you alone.

Oh man, they made an episode on south park about that. Stan,Kyle and Kenny died his hair orange made his skin really white with skin paste and made freckles on him to show him what a jerk he is to "Gingers." Then when he got picked on he started a cult. And so on..... Well all I can say is tell your friend to ignore those oh so mean people. And the reason they pick on you is because the're jelous.

I agree most everyone, just ignore them. People are idiots, and mock someone cause A. They do it because they lack self-estem, or B.They're just freaking idiots who find hurt and pain amusing. Just don't react to them, otherwise you just give them what they want. If they don't get what they want then they'll go away.

That would ALWAYS happen to me, but I was in grade 2...we actually started going out in grade 3, until I moved from the place. I still talk to him now. lol One of my friends, he was teased about Ginger hair too, I didn't like how he always was near me but I was one of the bullies. I WOULD defend him. Thats the end of that story. XDD
