It looks awesome! Should I read the book first? That's usually the case with books that are made into movies...

Not to sure... We don't know if they stripped some of the parts as the movie isn't out (big duh).

Do what you like to do. Movie first then book, or book first then movie. I don't think it'll matter in the end...

By-the-way, this next statement is coming for a guy (me) who reads books but normally takes him months to finish one... "Whatever you do, read this book!! After reading the first few pages I started to act like a magnet and couldn't take my nose out of the book. Not one person could take that book away from me. Finished in 3 days (it's a 30 chapter, 264 page book)."

Sorry for the double post....

The trailer is out on the net.

Here it is on MTV

Here it is on Youtube

First Thoughts: It's from the producers of Underworld so you can expect good movie works and story, though it looks like it only loosely follows the book... Still, it looks and sounds really good and I can't wait for January to roll by.

Having personally read Blood & Chocolate I would reccomend reading it, but also remember this book is not exactly intended for a ten year old. Their is quite a bit of sexual refrences in the novel for our young readers to be forwarned. But none the less it is an exellent book, I finished it in one day.

Err, right.

I'd like to add a little to that warning:

The book is written for young adults, which is around the high school age group (13+) and the movie, being completed, has gotten a rating of PG-13 in the USA.

I remember reading the book in highschool, and I enjoyed it a lot. It's different. Kind of a horror/romance type of thing.

When it comes to it being made into a movie.. I'm not having high hopes for it. So few movies are as good as the book.

The movie looks fantastic, but it's not about werewolves, it's about people turning into wolves, and well the same people who did Underworld did this movie, so I know for a fact it's good, the creaters of underworld are just fantastic sooooo this movie is soo going to rule^^

Umm, Ecliptica... it IS about werewolves.

The word loup garoux (or loup garou) is French for werewolf and is typed all over Blood and Chocolate's site. Also, I very loosely based Knights of the Moon off of Blood and Chocolate in which the main characters are loup garou; werewolves.

Please, actually visit the sources you are given so that you don't spread misleading information.

EDIT: Humans turning into a wolf or the ever popular wolf humanoid is technically the meaning of werewolf. Even Link from the Zelda games, though biomorphic, is considered by many to be a werewolf; Technically, they are not wrong.

Well from the preview people just turned into wolves, not werewolves, just wolves, like in Wolf's Rain, into wolves, but personaly who cares, it's gonna be awesome, but if there are werewolves in it, hopefully they will do a good job on them, because lately they make the werewolves extreamly crappy, so hopefully they do a better job this time^^
