I live in a building.
So, basically, there aren't strays in my "lawn".
My sister did find a stray cat on the streets once, and we brung him to the ASPCA, where he was adopted by someone, fortunately. :D He was a cute lil bugger.

A couple years ago, a brown stray dog wandered onto my family's property. My granny fed him a bit of leftover tuna salad. He ate it right up. I thought we should call him Tuna because he ate up that tuna salad. We never bothered him and he never bothered us, other than trying to get to me. He hung around for a few days, then left.
Soon after Tuna left, this spotted dog came, he probably only stayed for a night or was just passing by, because I didn't see much of him.
A couple years ago, a yellow cat came by. She stayed for a few days. My granny fed her some broth and chicken. We called her Yeller Girl because of her color. After a few days she left. But oneday I saw her again, so I called her name, but then I saw two kids and they told me Yeller Girl was their cat.

Seen a lot of strays on our property but they always end up not being strays. Just animals not wearing collars, both a good thing (they have owners) and a bad thing (they really should be wearing collars).
One of them was a dog who we later got to keep. I don't know all the details because I was 4 or 5 at the time =)

I found a very pretty pure bred yellow Lab. He was walking onto the cut that was by my house, and I seen him another day later, and finally he came up to me. I looked at the tag, and found out that we were just at his house. So, we nocked on the door - and told em. He ran off again, but I got my leash and hooked it on him, ran back to the house and put him in the yard. ^^ He was really strong, and was pulling me everywhere so I had to run him to the house. He's not really a stray, but we thought he was. He is an awesome dog, and I would love to keep him - I had a dream of that dog, about just keeping em. xD He's so big and friendly, but oh well. ^^ I seen other strays too, and a big stray gray cat that comes here. We feed em, but isn't really our cat.

I'd love a Beagle.
My dad said he found a stray dog the other day roaming the fields but he didn't dare approach it. He desribed it as a nasty 'wolf-like' dog with no collar. I was pretty annoyed that it hadn't been me who'd found it because I wouldn't mind approaching it. I bet he didn't even try..

Your dad is smart! Do you know how dangerous it can be to approach an animal you do not know? It could have a disease! Or it could be starving and driven insane from hunger! If approached, it could of thought you would be challenging it! I wouldn't approach a stray, I would wait for it to come, not come to it for the reasons listed above.

Yeah, I understand that. But you can usually tell. He would have just avoided it because he doesn't like anything that resembles a German Shepherd really..
