Ok, I bet you're going to expecr lots of exclemation marks and bold letters and underlineing. Well...incorrect. I shall try to keep that down to a minimum, now down to bisnuess.
Have any of you noticed random people who pm you and spam up your PM box? I certainlly have, and when I look at their profile apparently they are new. So you say, be gentle, give them time. Well...I do not say that. I've had it with these PM box spammers! One of the most prominant ones who spams my PM box is some person called emo. I'm not sure if you have had him/her do this to you, but I have heard about other problems like this. It has got to stop! Now I have no ideas to stop this, but I hope they will pack up and go back to where they came from.

Yes,I was sent a PM that was spam,just because I defended Kari,and Kari did NOTHING wrong,all she did was her job.

I'll keep that in mind the next time it happens,Kari did say that I could forward it to her,but I chose to delete it.

This drives me crazy as well. >< I'm always to polite to tell 'em to bug off, though, but I agree. It has to stop.

Yeah, I've gotten a few too. Not too many though, but this does need to be stopped before it gets any worse. I've been lucky, and I haven't really had any, and as far as emo goes, I'm friends with her now cause of her PM's, but I have heard of some of our members PMing everyone and PMing them constantly. I think we need to make sure people understand what PMs are, cause mass PMs just to intoduce yourself is just not cool.

I've got a couple members who do that... (I will not name anyone, as that wouldn't be me to say who they are.) but yeah, sometimes they just send smileys or something like that... I told one of them to type in proper English, and at least she did...

Here's a way to solve this.

It seems to be effective and harmless from what I've seen in other forums (Snowboarder Doby's forums had it)

The solution I’m talking about is the Ignore/Friends Lists system.
I don't see a reason to have a friends list but an ignore list has the potential to halt this problem.

I was surprised to see that a system like that wasn't already on the forums when I joined a year ago.

Yep...I get these all the time, and from multiple people. Usually I choose to ignore them, but when someone's flaming me, I usually respond to it. These people just want attention and friends, or they're just looking to start a fight. It doesn't matter which.

Of course these people need to stop...but, technically, they aren't breaking any rules. We're probably just going to have to keep deleting their messages and putting up with them.

I have to agree Zorro,those ones that PM you just to say hi,are a real annoyance,huh?
