[Balto, Complete] So wrong, but it feels so right [Part 1]

Just as her ears had perked up at the sound of his voice and she was about to call quietly back to him, suddenly Blitz found she was nose to nose with the male husky. She felt her own cheeks heat up at the touch and inched backwards a hair as he stepped back. "Oh, umm yeah." Looking away, she stared holes into the ground before clearing her throat and looking back up to him. "Um, so you wanted to talk to me alone about, um, something?" Her head tilted slightly to the side as she gazed at him and she couldn't help wondering what was so important, so secret, that he couldn't say it in front of Saba or anyone else?

After that contact with her nose, he was surprised by how difficult now it was to say it. He was starting to think maybe the idea was too dumb. Why had he taken it so seriously and now he had to tell Blitz it. Half of his body urged him to say nevermind. But Blitz was sounding almost hopeful of something, and he didnt want to dissapoint her. "Well. . .uh. You see Blitz, ive got a bit of a problem here. It's about you. . .and Saba" Crap that didn't come out right! "Wait what i mean is, im confused about this. See, you know how i had a crush on my sister and now she's my mate and all? Well, lately ive been doing alot of thinking. And it's been almost all about you. See, i had this. . dream, about you. . and ive been having this strange feeling when im around you. Basically, in less words, ive developed an attraction to you too."

Slowly, he inched his paw towards hers and set his ontop of hers. "And i don't know what to do about it." Really, he didn't. He couldn't be with both Saba and Blitz, but his heart called out for both of them. Well, at least now that was off his chest. Now Blitz knew about his secret longing for her.

He yawned and smiled as he howled and sighed happily, he loved howling he loved the feeling open space and no wallas, he smiled and layed down and looked at the trees.

Raising a brow and canting her head to the side, Blitz listened carefully to wait he had to say. But as he continued to speak, her mouth loosened and dropped open just barely. Even when he'd finished speaking, she found herself at a complete and total loss for words. She tried opening her maw, but nothing came out and so she shut it again. Part of her was elated that he had indeed shared the same feeling she'd had for a while, but another part was disappointed, and even more so confused. Slyth had a mate now, he had given himself away to Saba, and even though Blitz had had her own secret crush on him, an awkwardness loomed over the moment now that he'd confessed an attraction to her as well.

"Oh..." It was all she could force out of her mouth as his paw rested gently on top of hers. She glanced down at it, then back up at Slyth, confusion riddling her face as she tried to voice her own concerns. "Slyth...I..." Oh come now, just spit it out, it can't hurt anything just to admit it now. "I've also had a, well, I've liked you too, but I knew you'd liked Saba longer. And now, well I can't tell you what to do about it." She breathed out and looked away. "You're Saba's mate now, maybe not publicly, but even so...I just wish you would've said something sooner, that way we wouldn't be in this pickle."

She sighed before returning her gaze to his eyes again. "I don't know what to do about this either. But I guess what I should say is, what is it you truly want?"

Slyth had expected an awkward silance after what he'd finished saying. And there was one. But it was short lived. Blitz seemed to recover rather quickly. His ears which had settled back against his head, popped up once she confessed an attraction to him as well. He almost wanted to slap himself. Stupid stupid stupid! Why had he gone ahead and decided with Saba, when he wasn't even entirely sure about who he really wanted to be with? What is it i truly want? If i could figure that out, i wouldn't be in this problem right now now would I?

"Well, acctually i did try and tell you earlier. Just before the mess with Saba going suicidal. . . That's what i was trying to tell you. But i was too nervous." He looked down at his paw on hers. For some reason, he wasn't sure if he should be doing it or not. But he couldn't see anything wrong with it. Afterall, friends hold paws. . .don't they? Maybe close friends. Very. . close friends. He looked back up at her. He couldn't think of anything else to say.

Blitz sighed and blinked again, looking away for the moment. "Oh...well that explains a lot." She felt her cheeks heat up a little, but was determined not to show the blush. Glancing casually down at her paws again, she noticed his resting on hers and felt like beaming. She didn't, of course, but did allow a small smile to rest on her maw, at a loss for anything else to say now.

He yawned slowly and smiled happily sniffing the air after awakening fom his small nap. He stretched slowly and trotted down the forest wondering if there was any beies too eat he was getting slightly hungry. He slowly pushed down a small brank on a tee and licked the beries he smiled and started chomping at the red berries.

Here was the real awkward silance. Neither of them could think of anything to say. Slyth sat in silance near Blitz, who had turned her head away from him. He wondered if he should bring up the idea he had had. But if he did that, that would make it seem like he had decided on Saba. He frowned. For some reason then, he started to think back when Blitz had walked into that hospital room. If only she had continued down the hall and left, possibly he wouldn't be in this situation. Or, maybe if they had spent less time together.

He shrugged and decided, what else was there to say? Nothing else was coming to mind. Yet he still stalled. Hoping that maybe Blitz would come up with something so he didn't have to say it.

He licked his lips and smiled, the beries tasted quite nice, but he knew he would have too find some meat soon, he kept walking down and into the trees wondering if he could find something alive too eat, he sniffed the ground and pricked his ears up when he caught a scent and followed it down the riverbank.

Just as Saba was getting comfortable, a tan figure came over and jumped on her, she woke up with a start and then groaned miserably "Mira, please, I'm too tired."

Mira chuckled "Now now big sis, what fun would I be if I never sneaked up on ya?" she got a devious look in her eye "BY the way, I saw you and Slyth coming up to the house, you and lover boy got it pretty bad for each other huh? I know everything though Saba," Mira winked "You both told each other, you didn't look so miserable when you came in."

Saba blushed "You're right, but, please, don't tell ANYONE, understand?"

Mira nodded "Of course."

And so with that found for Mira, she returned to her own cushion to let her sister sleep.

"I just don't know what to say to all this. It's just.." she sighed in a defeated way and pushed the snow on the ground around with her other paw, making small mounds, then destroying them and rebuilding them. "I mean, what are we supposed to do now? What can we do. And what about Saba? I mean, despite either of our feelings, we can't just hurt her or push her off to the side."

She moved her paw out from under his, angry at herself mainly, though she wasn't sure she would be able to stand his touch right now. As far as he and Saba were concerned, they were a couple and Blitz was just their friend. But Slyth had just admitted something more to her and though the feelings were welcome, she couldn't get over the sense of betrayal she felt now.

Blitz seemed to be struggling as well. She stuttered a few times before she finally got it out. He bit his lower lip, and sat down. That's exactly what he'd been thinking. He didn't want this to turn out like one of those situations where the male breaks up with his mate for another female and it turns out to be a really big mistake because he wants her back but she doesn't want him. The only thing he could think of was to just see if this thing for Blitz would burn out and see how his and Saba's relationship turned out. But he didn't think his feelings for Blitz would die. Everytime he saw her or touched her it seemed to refuel the fire.

Feeling her paw dissapear under his, he looked down at his paw. The paw that he'd had his on, she now held closer to her and in the air. He bit his lip again and decided to forget about his idea. That would probably hurt Blitz. It was really just using her. He didn't feel like upsetting one of his friends so he glanced up at her and, seeing the look she had, he decided maybe it was time for him to get back inside. "You wanna sleep on it?"

No, just waiting for Aniu_blade to post. But i believe she's busy with this e-school thing. Last time i talked to her she said she had to have it done by this friday so i guess she's a little too busy to RP right now.

"Um, yeah...that, that might be the best thing right now." She looked down at the ground, where her paw had been under his and silently cursed, though she didn't quite know why. "I'm sorry I couldn't give you a definite answer, or at least any helpful words at all. I just...it's all so confusing suddenly..." She looked back up at him, gazing back into his eyes with her own birght blue ones. It was one of the few times that she'd actually held eye contact with him for an extended period that night. "I just don't know what to do, don't know what to say. I'm not even sure I know what I want anymore."
