Kat smiled when the movie was put in, a grin on her face. By the end of the tradgidy she was crying her eyes out.
"No! Jack! Live d*mmit live!!!!" She cried to the screen as Jack gave Rosie the door to sit on and he slowly froze.
"Rosie! MOVE YOUR FAT A** AND LET JACK ON THE STUPID DOOR!" She sobbed, now hating Rosie. Kat was all to familiar with losing those she loved, she herself was an orphan. But not the kind that had been orphaned since they were born, she SAW her parents murdered right infront of her at the age of 14. That's why Kat was slightly messed up when it came to relationships, she was always looking for someone, something, that would never leave her. Of course, every guy she'd ever loved had left her or vise versa. It's not that she was a wh*re, she just wanted to be loved.

Riley hadn't shed one tear during the movie, but now with her favorite charecter Jack dying she started getting teary eye'd. Nico started to fuss from his crib in the other room, so Riley got up to get him. She she returned she sat nexted to Arthur and snuggled close to him, Nico held tightly in her hands. She'd never loose either of them, never ever ever.

"Why couldn't there have been a hero?!!" Alfred cried, frowning at the screen. Arthur sated calm te whole movie, knowing the feeling of loss all too well, personally he loved this movie. He never smiled nor frowned throughout the whole movie, remained solid, thinking of all the ways he'd disappointed his family.

Kat sobbed a little more then wiped her eyes wen Rosie let Jack drown, or let him go. She sniffled, tears streaming down her face.
"I hate Rosie..." She growled "She's a selfish, stuck-up, poser who tried to be bad a** but fails miserably" Kat narrower her eyes at the screen and ha-rumphed.

Riley looked over at Kat and shook her head.
"But she stayed with Jack till the end, that has to mean something" Riley countered.

"Yeah, but, if I were her, I wouldn't have stayed on the door the entire time. I'd have given Jack a turn at the door." Kat said bitterly.

"Ah, but it wasn't that fair. Besides, Jack probably wouldn't have let you get off the door. He was too sweet to let Rosie die." Riley countered again.

"Pfft! Whatever, Leonardo Di Caprio was sexy when he was 18 though" She said with a wry grin.

Alfred and Arthur rolled their eyes in unison.
"Jack would've died for someone he loved, tomake sure she could live her life to the fullest, an not die on some da**Ed boat." Arthur huffed.

"I still think it's kinda' selfish on Rosie's part...I mean, Jack could've lived and been totally awesome! But no! Rosie had to be all helpless and 'love' him. Well, if you ask me, there's no such thing as 'love' there's lust for another, and there's being amused by someone. But 'love'? There is no way that it's real. So, I think, Rosie is selfish in all aspects" Kat snapped, leaning into the couch and feeling her eyes start to water. She knew why. Kat didn't believe in love in the slightest, and a world without love is a sad world.

Riley blinked at her "Kat, that's not true, love IS real. Just look at me and Arthur, we have a family, we love each other" Riley said.

Kat scoffed "You tolerate each other and like to have s*x…and the kid... Yeah, people have kids because that's what they think comes next in life!" Kat countered, slowly leaning away from Alfred.

Riley snorted and turned her attention back to the movie, Rosie was just getting rescued. "I know love exists, someone hurt you badly at one point, that's the only reason you think that" Riley grumbled, bouncing Nico, who had started fussing.

That set Kat off "Everyone hurts me, Riley! You think I didn't notice the way you looked at me when I first met you? People take one f*cking look at me and think immediately 'hook-up' or 'washed up wh*re' or even worse '*********'..." She looked at her hands with frustration and felt the warmth underneath her eyes grow "I'm tired of people assuming who and what I am, when they don't even know me...It's not my fault that I have bad judgment, and that I'm ignorant and young...It's not my fault that I don't look all that deep...It's not fair...I've never met someone who I loved that stuck around, it was always just about the physical lust, never anything else. Do you think a guy looks at me and thinks 'oh, that girl looks like she is so interesting, I like her a lot and want to get to know her' No! A guy takes one look at me and thinks that I'm a one night kind of girl!" Her voice broke; she struggled to keep the tears at bay. "Love doesn't exist to people like me, Riley...Maybe for you and Arthur, but not for me..." She froze up when she felt hot tears streaming down her cheeks and whimpered. Kat didn't want to cry anymore, not here, not now. She buried her face in her knees; Kat didn't want to talk to anyone.

Riley was silent, a few times she opened her mouth, but she didn't know what to say.

Arthur and Alfred fell silent, both staring at Kat with wide eyes.
"Well..." Alfred said quietly, breaking the tension and barely scooting away from Kat. The boys looked at each other, more than likely both thinking, We should go..'girl moment'.

Kat sobbed a bit more, wanting to go home, but not wanting to be left alone.

Riley stood and gave Nico to Arthur "Put him down for bed, Alfred, you go with him. Me and Kat need to talk..." Riley said solemnly. Once they left, Riley approached Kat slowly.
"You okay?" Riley asked, sitting next to Kat and frowning. Kat shook her head. She wasn't okay, she was spent.
"Listen, I'm guessing you had a hard life, but your past doesn't make you who you are`" Riley was cut off by Kat raising her head.
"No, Riley, don't guess that I had a hard like. Guess that my life is hard. I work two jobs and take college courses. I hardly ever sleep, and when I do I can't because I'm stressing out about my dropping grades. I don't have parents anymore, and my legal ones try to 'love' me but its all karma for them. So don't think for a moment that my life was hard, think that it is" Kat said icily. Riley snorted.
"At least your foster parents love you, my real parents don't give a sh*t about me" Riley retorted, the moved closer to Kat and hugged her.
"Everyone is different Kat, and I know that you're a tough girl. You just have a hard life, and Alfred is still a little confused about relationships, but he's a good friend. Don't try to depend on him too much, all that hero talk is nothing more. He won't sweep you off of your feet. And I think that you think he'll be the one. But in truth, he doesn't know how to love you" Riley murmured, and Kat nodded.

Arthur nodded, holding Nico in one arm amd pulling Alfred upstairs with the other. They sat upstairs while Arthur sang Nic to sleep. Alfred smiled, and poked the baby's nose.
"Hes so cute." The american chimed.

Kat was...Dissapointed that Alfred wouldn't love her. She wanted someone...But maybe it wouldn't be Alfred. She sighed and sat, curled up on the couch.

Riley dashed upstairs and pulled Arthur and Alfred down "Come on, let's finish the movie" She said in a hushed voice.

"You sure? I think Kat might..flip out again dude." Alfred said, a worried tone in his voice. Arthur rolled his eyes and chuckled, grabbing Alfred's hand and dragging him downstairs.

Riley shook her head "She just needs time, her life is hard..." Riley said thoughtfully.

Kat stared at the frozen screen, the movie had been paused.

Alfred plopped back down beside Kat, before wrapping his arm around her and giving her a hug.
"Don't worry, the hero is here!" he said quietly, playing the movie again.

Kat almost laughed, but she just nodded when Alfred arrived and hugged her. She didn’t want to get too attached if this was never going to get serious. But what could be the harm? She sighed and hugged Alfred back “I’m saved” She said, her voice in monotone.

Riley smiled down at them, then went to sit in the recliner.

Arthur got to the recliner first and smirked,pulling Riley onto his lap. Alfred smiled, and fist pumps.
