"Well, you are pups," Hiro replied in a bored tone.

"There's a difference between age immaturity and personality immaturity. At least we aren't unfortunate enough to have the latter," Holly retorted immediatly, the comment directed at Hiro.

Chesnut held back a laugh at Holly's comment.
Flint frowned a little, sadly. He hadn't meant for his talk to make them feel immature...
Fenris yawned, awkwardly. "Well... this is kinda awkward..." he stated.

"Yup," Fen agreed, nodding his dark head.

"Uh, so maybe you would like to look around some?" Sadie suggested, trying not to let this erupt into a fight. Both seemed ready to lunge, and she didn't want that.

"Yea," Chesnut said.
"I could show them around," Flint said, his tail wagging.
"That's ok," Loki said.

"Go ahead," Sadie said.

Holly was secretly thinking that she couldn't exactly look around. SHe didn't comment however; at least she would be able to know where things were. Chestnut would proabably describe what things were like. Her sister usually did.

Once they were out of earshot, Sadie whirled on Hiro. "Who's tugging on your tail, huh? Stop being such a rude, uncaring, selfish little...." she fumed, trailing off angrily. "Stop acting so uppity and arrogant! You have been nothing but lazy and inconsiderate ever since you came! Honestly, I'm wondering why I even let you stay!"

"Let me?" Hiro asked in disbelief. "Admit it; you need as many outcasts as you can get. Anf that means dealing with me."

"News flash," Sadie spat. "We just got two new faces. We can afford to get rid of one old, sour one."

Hiro snarled, eyes flashing furiously. "I can leave anytime I want! I'm only helping out of pity!"

"I don't think you pity us. I think you stick with us because you need us. You're an outcast. Who else are you going to lean on for help?" Sadie asked fiercly. "And helping?! I doubt you've done a good days' work in your pathetic, miserable life! You haven't helped! Go ahead and leave, Hiro." Sadie spat the name like it was a curse. "I can guarantee you we'll be better off without you fouling up the place!"

A tiny bit of hurt glimmered in Hiro's eyes, but he hid the rare emotion quickly.

Loki held his ears flat his skull, "Sadie...?" he asked, "I know what Hiro said wasn't all to good, but why'd you snap on him?"

Al, Abby, and Fenris looked very shocked.

"Because he's always like this!" Sadie retorted immediatly, her eyes practically sparking in anger. "He only thinks of himself!"

"You don't know what I think, Sadie," Hiro whispered, his hurt finally showing through. Ears back in what could be taken as either anger or sadness, he took a hesitant step back.

Sadie took a step forward, refusing to give it up. "Don't I?"

Hiro simply fled, leaving shocked silence in his wake.

Loki muttered to Sadie, "I know he isn't the best behaved, but you really hurt him..."

Flint was almost finished showing the pups the yard.

"I don't care," Sadie snapped, though the feelign of guilt was almost overwhelming on the inside. She hid the emotion.

"I better go find Hiro," Fen muttered, slinking away.

Hiro ran blindly away from camp. Sadie had been the only one to ever take him in, the only one to ever actually care for him. And she had now driven him away. A howl of pain rose in his throat. She was right, though. He was stubborn, hot-headed, and rude. But he never really knew anybody before this. And those he did know tormented him endlessly. He didn't know how to...get along with others. He had no social skills.

So when he finally found friends, he found it even harder to show his gratitude. Instead, he became a bit sour on the outside, so fearful of opening up agian. Because when he did, it always ended up hurting, hurting so bad. Like now.

"Hiro? Hiro, where are you?" Fen called, running in the direction that Hiro had left in.

Loki sighed, "Maybe you should go rest in the trailer for a while..." he suggested.
Chesnut's voice was heard as she came closer, "Oh, that's sooo cool!"

Sadie stalked off, angry and frustrated. And sad.

"What? What?!" Holly asked, unable to see.

Loki was about to follow her, but he decided to let her cool down by herself.

"Oh, Flint just showed me an old car. It's really big, and it has a hard texture to it, cuz it's metal. And it's like a box, but it's also open... we're gonna sleep in one, it'll be fun!" Chesnut explained in an excited manner.

"Okay!" Holly replied enthusiastically.

Hiro heard Fen, but he didn't bother answering.

Fen sighed. "Hiro, please? I know you're upset, but just come back. I think Sadie feels bad..."

"You think? Well, sorry, thinking isn't good enough. If she wants me back, she can come apologize," he said.
