Maria gasped in pain as she fell to the ground. She cough, trying to catch her breath.
Kodi ran over to Ana and Maria, nudging them to try and get them up.
Canyon ran over to Mako and growled at the man.

Mako did the same as he'd done with Maria and Ana to Kodi and Canyon as well.
Balto tried to run over, only to get hit as well. He collasped, coughing and hacking, putting his paw to his throat.
Aurora ran to Kodi, but Mako hit her in the throat as well. She coughed but managed to get close to Kodi before collapsing from the pain. She wanted to talk but had a hard enough time breathing, let alone talking.
Aleu wanted to help but knew she was pregnent and didn't want to get hurt and risk her unborn pups.
Mako picked up the two pups. "If you want them back, Sonya, come back to my ring and fight me, alone, for them." he said, driving off.

Sonya barked and growled at Mako, running after him. BUt he was much faster than her on his motorcycle. She looked back at her new family and said, I'll be back soon," before runnning in the same direction as Mako.
"Sonya, wait!" Scout called after her, but he couldn't hope to be able to catch her. He turned back and ran to Balto, nuging his son.

Balto groaned, standing up. "Oh man that hurt." he groaned. He wanted to go after Mako but heard what he said. "Mom, if you're here somewhere, we need your help."
Aniu appeared. "I'm always around to help my family."
Mako threw the two small dogs in his basement and smiled. "I know your family will be coming with Sonya, good dogs always do that, so I'll have to do something to keep them busy." he said. He took out a chain and threw it, smashing a water pipe overhead and sending casecades of water into the basement. "Hope you can swim!" he said, locking the door. Outside, he locked the window as well. He then went to his garage, where the ring was, and waited.

Maria stood up stiffly, her throat still burning. She rushed over to Ana and nudged her to her feet. "Ana, we have to get out of here before the water rises," she said, looking down at the few inches that had already collected on the floor. "It won't take long for this place to completely fill up."
Canyon shook of the strange feeling in his throat and hurried to Aleu. "Are you alright?" he asked worriedly.
Kodi swallowed with difficulty before his throat began to feel somewhat normal. He took a few steps and sat down right beside Aurora. "Can you get up?" he asked hoarsely, already trying to help her up with his paw.

Auroa got up, nose touching Kodi's, she blushed.
"Yeah, I'm fine but that monster has Ana and Maria, we've got to save them." said Aleu.
"Sonya can take Mako but you've got to save the pups, they're trapped in Mako's basement and its filling with water." said Aniu.
Max looked to Yasko (I think that was the girl, if I was wrong, I mean the good one). "Can you take us there?"
Ana nodded. "Lets get to the top of the stairs, we'll be safest there."

Kodi blushed deeply and stepped back, looking at the ground in embarrassment. "Are, uh, you alright?" he asked.
"We're already on it," Canyon said, looking ove rat Balto, Scout, and Aniu. "Or, at least, it looks like we are."
"Yes, of course," Frida said. "I'll do anything to help."
Maria nodded and raced up to the stop of the stairs. "Maybe there's another where out of here," she suggested, looking around the basement for any such place.

Kodi nodded, akwardly not knowinf what else to say. He walked back to the rest of his family. "Have we got a plan?" he asked them.
"Just follow this one," Scout said, nodding at Frida. He smiled at her with encouragement.
Frida blushed. She wasn't used to anyone being on her sid ebefore. "This way," she saudm hurrying in the direction of Mako's.
Maria sighed. She scratched at the bottom of the locked door. "Maybe if we push at the door long enough, it'll give out," she said, though there was no hope in her voice. She knew it would never work in time.
Sonya followed Mako's scent towards the garage. (that's where he is right?). She stood outside encase he had some trap for her. "I'm here, Mako!" she barked into the darkness. "I know you can understand me. What do you want?"

"Come on in Sonya, I want to settle this mutt to man." said Mako, standing in the middle of his dogfighting ring.
Balto nodded, following after.
"Kodi, we'll rescue your sisters, promise." said Aurora.
"I think we're too little, we'd probably have a better chance of breaking the window when the watter gets high enough."

Sonya hesitated a second before walking into the ring. She stood as far away from Mako as she could and glared up at him.
Kodi sighed. "I just worry, I guess," he said. "I knew we'll get there in time."
Maria loooked at her paws. "Im not sure I like that plan," she admitted.

Mako smiled and turned to look to her. "Finally. I'll admit it, of all the dogs I've ever put through what I did to you, you're the only one I couldn't break." he said, cracking his neck. "You see, despite owning a dog fighting ring and talking to animals, I've never fought a dog myself." he said, throwing his leather jacket off to reveal a whip wrapped around his chest.
Balto ran ahead, he loved his pups with all his heart, he'd never want anything to happen, and he hoped Sonya would really hurt Mako for this.
"Well there are two other options, hope papa and the others get here or..." said Ana, not wanting to finish.

Sonya immediately flipped her ears back up after they had laid back completely on her head at the sight of the whip and the memories that came to mind. She stared at making with as much determination as she could muster, which, after thinking of her new found family, was quite alot. "I'll make it so you can never forget me," she said, her teeth slowly showing in a small snarl. "There's a reason you couldn't break me."
Kodi ran next to his father, following Sonya's scent. He ran as fast as his legs could carry him. Mako would pay dearly for hurting his baby sisters.
"Or finding another way out of here," Maria said quickly, not willling to admit defeat yet.

"Well then lets do this." said Mako, throwing out his whip and taking a fighting stance.
Aleu thought of something. "Hey, you guys keep going, I've got an idea." she said running off from the group.
"But what can we do?" asked Ana. "I don't see any other exits."

Sonya snarled at Mako, but only took on step toward him, not wanting to be the one to start the fight.
Canyon called after her, "Should I came with you?!" He didn't feel safe letting his mate going out on her own.
"We'll figure something out," Maria reassured her sister. "We always do, right?
