Katie smiled, laying down at the entrance of their den. The pups were playing, and Kodi was by her side.
Kodi looked up, and smiled. He looked to his children. "Alright, time to give your mother her surprise!" he said, trying to roust his children up so they could walk.

Cachen blinked. "You mean miss Kira?" he whispered, smiling.
Lena was visiting, still had her collar, but at least her and Tai's owners let them come visit their mother often. She wagged her tail, happy.

Kodi nodded, grinning. "That's just what I mean, now let's hop to it!!" he whispered, nudging his son in the right direction. Katie came up behind him, laughing. "Won't you tell me?' she asked.
"No, not until you've seen it!" Kodi replied, licking her cheek.
Tai smiled, coming up next ot her Mother and barking happily, her new collar's tags rattling as she moved.

"Come on Tai! Come on Goldie!" barked Cachen, excited.
Lena smiled at her sister. "I'm glad Charlie and Rob are so understanding."

Goldie giggled and ran up beside Cachen, before pouncing on him. "I'm here, hush up!" she laughed softly.
"They know where our blood comes from." said Tai, winking softly. "They're understanding enough to know we are wolves, as well as dogs!"

Cachen licked her. "I'm glad you are, what about Tai?"
Lena nodded. "They're really nice." she said. "And Rob even healed momma first."

Goldie smiled happily. "With Lena, who else? Since they got humans, they've really stuck close to one another."
Tai smiled, feeling unyielding pride in her human. "They love us, too! and Poppa and Momma got what they wanted. Our happiness..."

Cachen chuckled. "I meant Kai, I know where Tai is." he said. "Its hard when their names rhyme."
Lena nodded. "And they're really nice." she said. "What do you think of our owners Momma?"

"Kai's bringing up the rear." Goldie said, blushing softly and giggling.
Katie smiled. "You're happy, that's all that matter,s and that they treat you right."

Cachen nodded. "Hurry up Kai!" he called back.
Lena licked her mother's nose. "They do." she said. "They treat us very well, they even acknowledge we're wolves too."

Goldie smiled, licking Cachen's face. "Leave him be. He's following at least. I suppose he's just still nervous about invading someone else's territory."
Katie smiled, nuzzling both her daughters. "Times have changed, indeed." she murmured, going now to nuzzle her mate fondly.

Cachen smiled. "I know." he said. "I'm just teasing."
"You can thank grandpa for that." said Lena, smiling.

Goldie nudged Cachen. "Silly boy." she murmured into his ear, licking it afterward.
Katie smiled, nuzzling Lena. "Will you be my favorite and tell me where you and your Papa are taking me?"

Cachen smiled. He nuzzled her. "I love you."
"Why? We're already here." said Lena, giggling.
"Katie, is that you?" asked Kira, smiling. "You've grown." she said, walking up, the little mountain lions she'd adopted peeked out shyly from behind her.
