"Ok, Fen, you and Hiro can help tell some of the others. Fenris and I will start to divide the groups. Actually, why not you and Hiro work together, and Abby and Al, and Fenris and myself? That's everyone, I believe," Flint woofed.
"Sounds good," Fenris said.

"Where are we going to search?" Loki asked Sadie.

"Why don't we go and find a place to rest?" the pup asked her sister.

Fen nodded.

"Where are Al and Abby anyway?" Hiro muttered.

Relief flooding the pup's small body. "Alright," she agreed thankfully. Her sightless eyes closed as she scented the air. "There may be a spot over there..." she said hesitantly, not entirely confident with her answer. She gestured to where she had scented anyway; her ears flicking in that direction.

(I'm gonna call the pup I have Chesnut)
"Okay," Chesnut woofed, "actually, it does look kinda good over there, let's go lay down," she nudged her sister to the area she had scented.


"Dunno, maybe they went out hunting? Or they're still asleep. I'll go check," Fenris yawned.
"'Kay," Flint replied.

Glad she had been correct, Holly followed her sister's lead. She laid down gratefully, her aching paws glad for the rest.


Fen gave Hiro a pointed look.

"Fine, alright, I'll go, too," Hiro sighed.

Chesnut lay down also and closed her eyes.
Loki yawned, "So what kind of recruit are we lookin' for, any specifics?"

"Anyone willing," Sadie replied, stating the obvious. They had moved fairly far away from the junkyard, and were near the fringes of town. Her nose twitched, picking up two similiar scents. "Do I smell pups?" she asked, confused.

Loki bit back the comment, I dunno, do you?, and questioned, "Where's the scent coming from?"

Chesnut flicked her ear, "Do you hear some other dogs, Holly?"

"Over there," Sadie said, gesturing with her muzzle towards a slightly run-down alleyway. Without waiting for a reply, she slowly padded towards the scent.

Holly nodded, her nose twitching and ears pricked. "I think there's just two of them," she replied. "But it smells like they're getting closer."

"Okay," Loki said, padding after Sadie.

"Stay still, they might not notice us," Chesnut suggested quietly.

"Okay," Holly agreed, her voice dropping to a whisper.

Sadie scented the air. Though she couldn't yet see the pups, they were definitely here. "Loki, do you see them?" she asked.

Loki quickly scanned the alleyway, and spotted a small furry looking object, "Yea, right there," he said, pointing with his snout.

Chesnut's eyes grew wide, "I hope they don't come any closer! Or hurt us!" she cried out. She stood up in front of her sister, trying to look protective.

"We won't hurt you," Sadie assured, looking at the two pups.

Holly sniffed the air, her muzzle turning to where the two hybrids stood. "Who are you?" she asked.

"I'm Sadie, and this is Loki," she introduced.

Loki nodded, "Yea. Do you need a home?" he asked, "Or are you waiting for your mother or something?"
Chesnut nervously replied, "Um, okay, but why should I tell you if my siter and I are alone or not?"
"We'll help you," Loki woofed kindly. "We know some other canines that can help you too. We live in a really big place where you can run and play."
