Russet winked and grinned. "Then I'll go. You stay here and make sure that you both leave if Harmony or Mareem come. Don't worry about me, just leave if anything happens. You head north then west and continue west until you reach a valley with tundra flowers. That's where I have friends who took care of me when I was leaving home. When they ask who you are, tell them you are Russet's new family and friends. They loved me while I was there, and if anything happens to me, they'll be sure to take care of you two and the pups as if you were their own. Understood?" he asked, his face hard, serious, turning to look at Julius and then, Delilah.

Russet chuckled. "I said, in case. If it does happen, this might be our last time together, but I doubt it will be." Russet licked Delilah's nose. "Goodbye... for now." He ran off, into the mist, ready for the hunt.
***
Russet came out of the mist, three rabbits in his mouth. He gave the largest to Delilah, the second largest to Julius and ate his quietly.

Russet nodded, but said nothing.

Russet licked his lips after finishing up and sat up, waiting for Julius and Delilah to finish.

Russet got up himself and stopped for Julius and Delilah, without a word.

"Something, please, Russy." Russet snickered.

Russet exhaled loudly. "Are we all ready to go?"
