Me as their father? But I might die... Zasshu wondered to himself, trying to stay awake.

"I don't know if I'm gonna live to see morning, Cheyanne. I hope I can pull through this, but if I don't... I hope you won't forget me."

Zasshu nuzzled his head under Cheyanne's chin, and two of her pups curled up against Zasshu's neck. Zasshu's breathing was harsh and fluidy.

"Chey, could you stay here with me? If I die... I don't want to die alone. And if I live... I want you to be there." Zasshu smiled softly, closing his eyes.

Sapphire heard a growl and stopped dead then she heard a tiny yelp and knew that the wolf with the stolen pup had found her. "How could you, you meany. How could you hurt that wolf then take that she-wolf's pup." Sappy growled standing and turning to the wolf.

"I think you will. After all, I've been enough to keep you alive...... How many times?"








Loki bared his fangs at the wolf. "Who are you?"

"Heh." Zasshu chuckled. "Enough times that I don't doubt you. I love you. I hope you know that."

Rukii walked into the den, dropping a bit of meat in front off Zasshu.

"Zasshu. Try to eat this. It will give you some strength back." Rukii looked at Cheyanne for a minute, then smiled. Then she left.

Zasshu reached out with his paw to try to drag the meat closer to him. One he got it close enough to his mouth, he started off by licking it.

Sapphire looked at the wolf then the pup, then glaring at the wolf. "You may call me Whisper." she said not trusting the wolf. "What are you doing with that she-wolf's pup?"

Cheyanne smiled and closed her eyes.



"Whisper?" Loki asked, "that's such a stupid name. And I took her pup because I wanted too. Why? Do you want him?" He growled, picking up the pup and throwing it towards Sapphire. "Have him."

Zasshu ate everything, he hadn't realized how hungry he was, even though it had been three days. Once he was finished, all of Cheyanne's remaining pups began to lick the meat residue of of his muzzle. It tickled a little, so he chuckled.

"You don't think Loki will hurt Zasha, do you?" Zasshu asked, sincerely worried for the pup Loki took.

Sapphire looked at Loki then at the pup. "I will take her." Sapphire said then whispered to her self. "I'ts not like you ever wonted her so why did you take her." After Sappy said that she picked the pup up in her soft mouth and started to carry her to the she-wolf mother.

"I hope not." she sighed. Cheyanne laughed at her pups licking Zasshu's face."They like you already."

Sapphire walked up to the two wolves and the pups. "Here is your pup, the wolf that had her didn't wont her so he gave her to me." she said putting the pup down near the mother. "I wonted to attack him and make him pay for taking her from you, but I wouldn't do that in front of the pup."

Cheyanne was left with widened eyes."Who are you?"

"Sapphire. I just wont to give you your pup," Sappy said to the mother then to the injured wolf. " and to say that i'm sorry that you got hurt. I only saw from when you where taken away but thous mean wolves up to now. I'm sorry that I was watching you, but I wonted to know your next move before I attacked the wolves."

"They didn't attack me." Zasshu answered. "I had a heart attack, and they brought me back to the den. And where did you find that pup?" Zasshu asked.

"Oh sorry. I didn't find the pup, she was given to me. Because the wolf that took her walked past me as I was spying on you and then saw me and gave her to me. " Sapphire said looking at the pup then the mother wolf. "Then I came right here to give her to you."

"Why were you spying on me?" Zasshu asked. "And for how long?"
