Patch had come in second place, and so he would be running right beside his sister as lead dog, he knew the reason his sister beat him, it`s because he is a runt. He was so close yet so far, the first minute he was neck and neck with her, nd the second, he was running just behind her tail. That evening, Patch sat in an alley thinking about the race. 'Why did we have to race anyway? Is it something important?"He thought.
