[Balto, Complete] So wrong, but it feels so right [Part 1]

Blitz's ears shot up as she heard shouts again, more desperate now, pained. She took one glance back to Slyth, her eyes widened and said, "Saba..." She turned quickly and sped out of the glade, towards the sound of Saba's screaming. A faint whiff of blood floated on the air now, along with Max's scent and she pushed herself harder and faster. She turned back and called over her shoulder to Slyth, "She's this way! There's trouble!"

But she didn't have time to say much else. As soon as she turned back around, she got smacked in the face by a low hanging sapling branch. She kept going, sniffing to try and get her nose to work right again, but ignoring it for the most part. Though she wasn't really looking, her paws managed to pick their way around the majority of tree roots and bushes. She tripped once, but picked herself back up in a hurry and kept going. Finally she skidded to a halt where Max had pinned Saba's paws down, one of them blood soaked and a gaping wound in her neck.

Max turned to Blitz and begged "plz help me make her stop she's trying to kill herself she keeps saying that it will make Slyth happy and to cause him no pain because she says you and Slyth were going to be together" then a tear or two fell from Max's face "plz help me help her , shes acting crazy and i dont want her to kill herself plz help" then looked back down at Saba

Slyth's ears picked up the shouts too. Some of it was muffled but from what he had understood, he knew it wasn't good. Just by the look Blitz gave him told him something was going wrong. Knowing it had something to do with Saba, he ran after her. Following her threw bushes, around trees and under low hanging branches. Blitz urging him to keep up the whole way.

By the time he saw her stop, he was panting. Glad to be able to take a break, he slowed down as he approached behind her. He'd reached a walk by the time he was at her side again. His eyes traveled from Blitz's form, to Saba. Forced down by her paws by Max. One of her paws was covered in blood, her neck bleeding. "Saba!"

The words burst from his jaws upon seeing her like this. Then Max explained what had happened. He stepped back. Why does she want to kill herself? She thinks me and Blitz are. . . His eyes flashed back to the female standing beside him. He looked back at Saba who struggled against Max's restraining arms. Her goal was only too obviouse now that max had given that explination. He wanted to step over to her, but his legs had gone to stone. He couldn't move them. .

Blitz put a paw forward, but the sight of blood once more made her suddenly wary. 'Get a grip Blitz, this is different. You have to handle yourself. This isn't Dart, it's Saba, and she needs help now!' She shook her head and then said pleadingly, "Saba, please stop! This isn't what anyone wants! Slyth doesn't want you to die, and neither do Max or I! Please just stop!" But she knew her words would be useless to the fae. "Slyth, you have to get through to her, you have to make her stop, you're the only one who can! You have to tell her how you feel." She knew it would hurt her later, but right now it was Slyth and Saba's time to shine. Blitz would just have to deal with it.

Slyth stood rock stiff, watching his sister struggle to end her own life. His friends tying to stop her but to no avail. He was the one who had to help her. And even as he tried, his legs wouldn't move. Then Blitz's words reached him, encouraging him to help her. He had no idea how, but these words seemed to be the ticket, for when he tried again, his legs moved. His left paw went out infront of him first.

Now that he was past that milestone, the rest seemed easy. He trotted over to her, appearing in her vision as she struggled against Max. "Saba. . its me, Slyth" he started out. Leaning he head towards hers. "Don't do this. I don't want you dead. Neither does Blitz or Max here. Besides, how do you know me and Blitz are ment for each other?" after a few moments of silence, in which he looked to Blitz for some help, he finished "what if, you and I are ment for each other?"

Saba, again cryign by now and open mouthed, breatihng heavily she heard Sltyh's voice, which calmed her down and made her stop struggling, she winced "But, but it looks os perfect for you Slyth, I want you to be happy but, I know that's gotta be wiht Blitz, but, I can't lvie a lie, becvause... I love you Slyth." she sighed and just laid down her head.

Max let go alittle and backed up it was up to Slyth to talk some sense into her but stayed close just in case she tryed to do it again but when Slyth told her that they might have been ment for each other he walked over to the side where Blitz was cause he knew she wasnt going to do it they told their feeling to each other and he knew that she wouldnt try to kill herself cause she looked happy again so he just smiled at them

His ears had been flattened down while he half frowned at her neck. was it his fault she'd started doing this to herself? He hoped not. But when she said her final words, his ears poped up. What do you do in a situation like this? Blitz wasn't a source of help right then, and neither was Max.
Blushing, he leaned his head down and nudged hers. "what makes you think that means you have to kill yourself?"

Saba lbushed deeply "Because, I couldn'tl ive iwhtout you, I've been som iserable, I needed to say I lvoe you and I have." she sighed as she felt her chest getl uigther, that had put a weight in there for quite a long itme.

Blitz seated herself, still a little ways back, apart from everyone, though Max was only a couple of feet away from her. A smile rippled over her muzzle finally as she watched Slyth nuzzle Saba. It was odd. She really didn't know how to feel about the whole situation. Her feelings were as mixed as she was herself, but she still couldn't help but hold her smile as Slyth moved closer to Saba. "Go on Slyth, I think it's time you tell her how you feel too. You've been holding it in for far too long." It felt almost like it hadn't been her who'd said that, but nevertheless, she had.

Once he heard Blitz, he looked over to her briefly. Their eyes meeting, he held her gaze for a little over a second before breaking eye contact. His eyes now flitting back and forth between the two. Trying to make up his mind. Saba had just shown that if Slyth didn't love her, she was going to kill herself. So did this mean he had to choose Saba, to keep her alive? Mentally he grunted.
He leaned down towards Saba, he scent wafting to his nostrils again. The aroma of blood mixed in somewhere with it but he now remembered everything he'd felt for her. Like the way he'd been before Blitz had entered his life. His mind focused entirely on his sister who lay before him. When he opened his jaws to confess his feelings to her, he remembered the last time he'd tried to do this. They had been interrupted by Storm's sudden vanishment, and he hadn't gotten another chance until now.

Maybe Blitz was right. Maybe he had been keeping his feelings for Saba a secret for too long. Well, time to reveal them at last.
He stepped closer to her, leaned his head downwards, opened his jaws, and said "Saba. . .I love you too."

Saba lbinekd briefly befor mustering up strangth to face ihm, smilign wekaly she lickedh im cheek and nuzzled ihm softly, she felt her chest light as air as her ears perked up slightly.

'Good job Slyth.' Blitz smiled again as she sat, still apart from everyone else while Slyth finally confessed his feelings to Saba. She watched as he moved closer, gave a sideways glance to be sure Max was still preoccupied by watching the new couple and then stood quietly. 'I'd better leave them alone now. They're all family and they need their own time now.' She turned slowly and with one glance back at them all, she then trotted silently into the forest again, taking a different path, towards a different destination. "Good luck, you two," she whispered when she was far enough out of earshot so no one would hear.

Max was watching Slyth and Saba and when he looked back to see Blitz he saw her walking off so he went after her and asked "its hard for you in a way cause you loved him too aint it Blitz" then smiled at her "i had too get away myself cause see your brother and sister getting close isnt something that i want to see its kinda sick it a way but you cant stop ture love"

Blitz sighed as Max caught up with her and nodded to what he said. "Yeah, I expect that would be kind of weird. But, I dunno. Yeah, it is hard, but I'm not really sure why it is. I mean, I'm not really sure how I felt about Slyth, or about he and Saba being together. but that's not really my choice, it's theirs. And if he loves her and she loves him, then who am I to stand in their way. I'm sure they'll be happy together." She smiled, though she knew she had felt something for Slyth. She would be sad for a while, but it would pass, like all things do and the world would move on. Things were better this way.
