I saw today that his wish was for video footage of his death to be shown on TV and his family and friends are trying to make it happen for him, he said 'even if a croc is tearing me apart keep the cameras rolling, even if it's blurred and out of focus, does'nt matter, show it'.

Seriously? Wow.. I know I was watching something on Animal Planet the day after his passing and he was saying how the only time he'd quit what he did was when his kids were old enough to do it and they could take over. It's so sad that that's not how it worked. But I did see this morning that someone want's to destory the footage of his death, which would be in direct definance of his wishes. Even if it is blurred out, they should still have it, because it's what he wanted.

How about:

Paul Hogan
Russell Crowe
Hugh Jackman
Adam Garcia
George Lazenby
Heath Ledger
Cate Blanchett
Natalie Imbruglia
Elle McPherson
Kylie Minogue
Olivia Newton-John
Miranda Otto
Naomi Watts
Geoffrey Rush
Hugo Weaving
David Wenham

or the bands:

AC/DC
Little River Band
Men At Work
Midnight Oil

Kylie Minougue's Australian? I never knew that. Geoffrey Rush? But none of them sound Australian, well maybe Olivia Newton-John. xD

Yep...apparently. I got these names (beyond the ones I knew of ahead of time) off of an Australian actors/actresses website. And even Kylie was listed. I was surprised by a few myself. But there's no law that says an Australian has to have a British, Scottish, Welsh, or Irish-sounding name.

I think got had a plan for him. I mean he got to save animals all over the world, He taught people that crocs & snakes are'nt that bad. He had done his job & his time had come. If only he could have stayed a bit longer...

Try to stay on subject.

Cotton Grass-- Yeah. Someone like him comes along only a few times in a hundred years. It's such a shame it had to be him.

I don't think he had time to say anything. His producer said he figures he went peacefully and without much pain.

Tibb...I was just answering Orlando 4 Eva's comment about whether or not there were any other Australian actors/actresses. It didn't derail the conversation.

Besides, please...let the moderators handle that kind of management.

As an Aussie i can say i loved him, as an Aussie i can say i disliked him, and now he's gone i can say i miss him. He was as Aussie as barbeque, as straight (honest) as a post, funny as a Kookaburra and as original as a Steve Irwin.

I miss the guy, i wasn't a big irwin fan (of his shows) but he was a great character, a caring father towards his kids and a great promoter of Australia. When i heard at school that day he was dead i couldn't believe it, i thought everyone was joking its just such a shocking tragedy

As much as it sounds like a eulogy, i mean what i wrote, and i am really down about his death

Rest in peace ya larrikin

yeah his death was pretty sad because it was a freak accident. and i was watching the tribute shows of the crocodile hunter and one of them he was like " a hard thing to deal with is death " and later he was like " my mom died in a car crash but when a door closes another opens and now i have my daughter" or something like that i actually cried it was sad

Thought you all might want to read this:

http://articles.news.aol.com/news/_a/backlash-against-stingrays-since-irwins/20060912064609990001?ncid=NWS00010000000001

If it's true (what they speculate the cause of it to be), then it is a ***** dirty shame.

I sure hope not Seppala, that'd be like sh*tting on Steve Irwin himself!! He'd never want people to harm Stingrays or any animal, it was a "freak accident", the ray did'nt do it on purpose, killing them in retaliation is going against everything Steve Irwin ever stood for!!! :x

Agreed, Whitewolf! But this article apparently comes from MSN's home page. There are, apparently, killings of sting rays going on in Eastern Australia. And people are concerned that it is out of some stupid revenge motive.

I'm glad that Steve Irwin's people have come out condemning the incidents!
