I think the movies spiritual stuff rocked! and the animation in the begining was pretty sweet i rated this movie the best animated one ive seen ever really. But the overall best animation for cartoons in my mine would be Wolf's Rain but thats a show.

I didn't like WQ because the story was...well...bleh.
Plus Aleu started to get on my nerves early in the movie. Plus the whole find myself thing was alittle over-done. I liked the colours but Balto's look changed. The story wasn't linear with the others and I found that the whole spiritual stuff was too....cheesy.
If I hadn't seen Balto (the original) then maybe I wouldn't be as tough as I am on this film but Balto kicked butt!
But perhaps the most bad thing was they removed Jenna's role almost completely! My poor Jenna!
As for none of the original cast returning, the buget probably didn't allow them to hire Kevin Bacon for another round. I mean, he's getting paid millions now.

So that's what I didn't like about WQ.

I don't hate WQ, but I just think that if Jenna had more part it could have been better.

I saw Balto first on Cartoon Network without knowing who Balto was. It was the best film about wolves or dogs that I'd ever seen! The animation could've been better, but what can you do when you haven't got any money for a woodwind instrument! That was their budget. I understand why Aleu was so stubborn and the spiritual stuff was their because American Indians or Inuit people believe that the wolf was connected to the northen lights and often called to them in a time of need. Balto was probably overprotective because he never had kids before that looked like him and he didn't want them to get hurt by any means nessersary. Anyway, I loved the film before I knew I could buy it on DVD and I still love it now.

Haha. Agreed. XD But it's not just the animation that bothers and annoys me so much about this movie. The storyline, the horrible new characters and the ruined old ones... yuck! XD

Balto 2: Wolf Quest was one of the best movies I've ever seen.

For five reasons:

1) It introduced a whole lot of new characters.
2) It appealed to my spiritualistic self (which is 100% of myself)
3) Animation could've been better, but I liked Alue's character design quit alot. If not a few bloopers, it was decent.
4) It doesn't have anything to do with the first movie (and that's what we call a spinoff, and it's intended)
And at last:
5) Steele wasn't in it.

Just to add to the topic: Another reason I hate wolf quest is also due to people taking it WAY too seriously.

Anyway, WQ isn't as bad, tbh. But people shouldn't hate ^^ Only criticize...

The one thing I hate about WQ is, however, the "become one with the tree"-part. Other than that, it was an all-round good movie.
