Uncalled for how? People are insulting my friend, calling him a liar and a hypcrite. People are flaming him mercilessly and he can't even stand up for himself due to being banned. If you're gonna ban him, that's one thing. But don't continue to flame him after he's been banned.

Do you really expect me to just lay back and watch this? Because I'm not. I'm gonna do what any true friend would do.

No. I read the rules. It was the first thing I did when I joined the site. I joined with every intention of following th rules. I also joined fully aware that this was a kid-friendly web site. Before I even posted in this forum, I saw almost every rule broken more than once. So while you parade these rules around in my face because you can't come up with a better argument, I'm gonna point a few things out to you.

How many people have followed that rule lately? Take a look at the forums and get back to me on that.
If you ask me, if it's a Balto forum, than everything not realated to Balto can be defined as useless now, can't it?
When you go around calling people liars, and flaming them, that starts wars. No big surprise there.



With all due respect, should personal opinions on someone else not be banned from here? This coincides with rule 16 quoted above.

I could come up with many, many more examples, but I think you're beginning to see my point. I apologise for instances where I have broken clearly stated rules, but it does seem to me that no one follows the rules anyways. And it also seems that not every rule applies to every person. It shows in almost every topic on this site. It's been shown several times even in this topic. I'm not the only one who has broken the rules discussing this. Some people get banned, some people get a slap on the wrist, and some people nothing. I understand that people get banned after several occurences of breaking the rules, but these rules should be enforced consistently among ALL members of Balto Source.

I don't have time to start an argument about all this, but I don't understand why you're doing this. (did I threaten you to ban you? I didn't.) You're not Silver wolf, as well (at least that's what your IPs shows) So I really don't see the point of all this.

I think everyone pretty much agreed to ban silver wolf, so I was only doing the thing everyone wanted me to do. Don't forget that I have never banned someone for breaking one rule, the problem with silver wolf was that he has broken many rules and was getting offensive with people.

I don't mind that people break one rule here or there, I just don't want that you don't break a lot. And rules are formal, but I also apply informal rules (I don't always give warnings when I know that the person didn't do it on purpose, for example)

Oh and BTW, if you see that a rule was broken, report it to a mod, we don't have eyes everywhere you know. I've never forbidden that, on the contrary; so you should have done that instead of saying now "that's not fair".

wow... as i said before, this is really a messed up discussion... it really shouldn't even be happeneing, if everyone had just chosen to follow the rules. seriously, balto is a kid's movie, so the balto forums should be kept kid-appropriate. if people want to swear or do other inappropriate things, it should be done on forums that welcome them (though i shudder to think that such forums exist). too many people misuse the internet. the net has a lot of good things to offer, but it can be kinda scary at times. that's why it's nice to have forums like this where people shouldn't have to worry about this kind of thing. too bad we have to.

Of course he can, he's using his other account Wolf Calibre and has also sweared and insulted members using that one too.



May I just say that him calling me a B***ch was not a bad remark, and me telling him to stop lying about his account was?

Read what Wolf Calibre wrote a little bit closer. He did not call you a B****. He used the word as a verb, describing the actions we are using. And no, telling someone to stop lying is not a bad remark, I was not referring to you. There are several people who have come right out and called people (not just Silver Wolf/Wolf Calibre) names. It was an example I used. Wolf Calibre was calling the actions and words used by the members down in this post.

I understand the difference between a "written rule" and an "implied rule". Both kinds of rules serve their purpose. But the basics of law say that while you can try to enforce an implied rule, it is very hard to discipline someone based on an imlplied rule. Basically it seems that for breaking written rules, we will get a warning. Even repeat offences will get a warning. But it was essentially an implied rule that got Silver Wolf banned. From what I read, everyone agreed to ban him because of implied rules. May I also point out these same people who hung Silver Wolf for put downs and offensive material, posted put downs and offensive material on more than one occasion. Now I suppose you're gonna tell me to go get a mod, so I'll just do that instead.

In a world where it is scary to allow a child to use the internet, it is wonderful that there are sites like this out there. Everywhere you look, there is smut, cyber stalkers and people who do children harm. The unfortunate thing is, because this is a site designed for children, it is a prime target for perverts. Chalk full of kids and innocence. When you can tell me that there is a 100% guarantee that there are none here, then your rules, both written and implied will hold more weight with me. And your efforts to keep this place a happy and safe on will be more respected. But in the meantime, not everything can be stopped.
