whats the bet that the next moive will be about sheba.

Umm . . . who's Sheba?

I doubt the fourth (and hopefully the end of the saga) movie will be about Aleu or whoever the heck "Sheba" is.

It would be nice to check on Aleu's progress, but I don't think it would happen . . . .

Steele returning . . . love to see that . . . .

More pups? Please, God no.

Nuff said.

Well know I'm really disgusted...I've just seen an article where it shows this ranking (as of august 2005) :

Year-to-Date kids Non-Theatrical Video Sales

1. Mulan II; Disney/Buena Vista Home Video

2. Barbie - Fairytopia; Lions Gate Films

3. Tarzan II; Disney/Buena Vista Home Video

4. Aladdin II & III Collection; Disney/Buena Vista Home Video

5. Dora the Explorer - Catch the Stars; Paramount Home Video

6. Land Before Time XI: The Invasion Of The Tinysauruses; Universal Home Entertainment

7. Sandlot 2; Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment

8. Dora the Explorer - Big Sister Dora; Paramount Home Video

9. Barbie as the Princess and the Pauper; Lions Gate Films

10. Scooby-Doo: Aloha Scooby-Doo!; Warner Home Video

11. Lion King 2: Simba's Pride - Special Edition; Disney/Buena Vista Home Video

12. Baby Einstein: Baby Monet - Discovering The Seasons; Disney/Buena Vista Home Video

13. Disney Princess Stories Volume 2: Tales Of Friendship; Disney/Buena Vista Home Video

14. Dora the Explorer - Dora's Fairytale Adventure; Paramount Home Video

15. SpongeBob SquarePants - Home Sweet Pineapple; Paramount Home Video

16. Strawberry Shortcake - Seaberry Beach Party; Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment

17. LeapFrog: Letter Factory; Warner Home Video

18. Star Wars Ewok Adventures: Caravan of Courage/The Battle for Endor; Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment

19. Pokémon: Destiny Deoxys; Disney/Buena Vista Home Video

20. Disney Princess Stories Volume 1: A Gift From the Heart; Disney/Buena Vista Home Video

As you can see, Balto 3 isn't even in the top 20 while Land before time 11 is ranked 6th...
The ranking from dvdexclusive hasn't much changed though (as of june 05) :

TOP DVD PREMIERE MOVIES: YEAR-TO-DATE
Rank Title (label/distributor) Street Date Revenue
1 MULAN 2 (DIS) 2/1/2005 59.5
2 TARZAN 2 (DIS) 6/14/2005 23.1
3 ALADDIN: 2-3 COLLECTION (DIS) 1/18/2005 18.9
4 BARBIE: FAIRYTOPIA (LG) 3/8/2005 14.9
5 BLUE COLLAR COMEDY TOUR RIDES AGAIN (PAR) 12/7/2004 14.6
6 THE SANDLOT 2 (FOX) 5/3/2005 13.0
7 ALOHA, SCOOBY-DOO (WB) 2/8/2005 12.5
8 LBT: INVASION OF THE TINYSAURUSES (UNI) 1/11/2005 11.1
9 LION KING 2 (DIS) 8/31/2004 9.3
10 INTO THE SUN (SONY) 2/15/2005 8.7
11 WAKE OF DEATH (SONY) 12/28/2004 7.9
12 BALTO 3: WINGS OF CHANGE (UNI) 2/1/2005 6.2
13 BARBIE AS PRINCESS AND THE PAUPER (LG) 9/28/2004 5.9
14 CONTROL (SONY) 2/16/2005 5.8
15 POKEMON: DESTINY DEOXYS (DIS) 2/15/2005 5.6

Now, I'm becoming pessimistic about a Balto 4, and particularly about the future of this license... :? I'm afraid that Balto 2 did sold much better...This is not good at all...

Barbie got 2nd place  , I've seen that movie on Nick and it was really bad for a Barbie movie.

As you've told me,Balto is not a famous and hot movies at all,it can't offer much money ,so I am afraid they wouldn't make Balto4.
Ps:Steet, are you interest making lists at this time?

Lately you've been making lots of lists like the one for all those animated movies, keywords for finding Balto Source, and this list just made on DTV rankings.

Aaahhh! I have other sales figures, and these ones are much better :

http://news.awn.com/index.php?ltype=top ... m_no=14514

Quote:
Adams Media Research has reported the top 10 direct-to-video titled for the first quarter of 2005. Leading the pack in total units sold and rental revenue was Disney’s MULAN II with 56.8 million. In a distant second was Lions Gate’s BARBIE: FAIRYTOPIA garnering $17.4 million. Following that was Universal’s BALTO III: WINGS OF CHANGE, rounding up $14. 2 million. The rest of the top included Warner Bros.’ SCOOBY-DOO: ALOHA SCOOBY-DOO! ($7.5 million), Buena Vista/Miramax’s POKEMON: DESTINY DEOXYS ($6.1 million), Buena Vista’s THE CAT RETURNS($3.4 million), First Look’s EASTER EGG ADVENTURE ($2.8 million), Warner Bros.’ TOM AND JERRY: BLAST OFF TO MARS ($2.3 million) and Lions Gate’s LIL’ PIMP ($600,000).

So according to these numbers, Balto 3 was third with 14.2$ millions generated by sales and rentals. However, these charts are only for the first quarter of 2005, while the others were for the first semester.
But it's still much better :P

14.2$ millions divided by 15$ (price of release), that makes nearly 1 million of units sold in the US only...Not so bad!
But it's still strange that those charts are so different one from each other...
