I try to remain fairly opened minded when it comes to reading books but some I won't read are as follows:
Left Behind Series by Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins (obvious reasons) Any books by Stephen King (I know he is a very good author and probably one of the most celebrated in this century but horror isn't my thing) Books by Tom Clancy (Not really into books dealing with the Cold War, International Terrorism, etc) Books about Fairy Tales examples Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, etc (I didn't like them when I was a kid and I don't like them now) Books about Star Trek (I am a Star Wars Fan so I don't like Star Trek) Chronicles Of Narnia The Last Battle (I like the The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe, but the ending to this great series was not only disappointing but also very tramatic considering it was written for children. I think in the end he pressed his personal beliefs too much into the last book and into the series overall) Books By Anne Rice (Not into vampires and werewolves that much. I read the Twilight Series and I am a passing fan of them. Not really into the hype about it though.) Warriors Series (talking cats don't interest me) Watership Down (again talking animals)
These are the ones I can think of at this time. I enjoy fantasy books and series by people like J.R.R. Tolkien and J.K. Rowling

A dog named Christmas -Greg Kincaid I'm not sure if that's the right title...I find it really boring, I thought it was something better, like the story of full life of the dog...I was really disappointed about this book

A Dog's Life ~ XP sounded adorable. the cover was simple, the back made it sound like an interesting read, but come on! to much trama for such a juvenile intending book! marjorly depressing, but at least that one got a happy ending... wasn't really that grabbing either. i was only entranced by it because it always seemed to cliff hanger and had you wondering, "does this dog have any happy days in life?!" I agree, that book was a let down. You'd think it'd be a bit more eventful, especially since life is harsh for a stray dog especially. Nope, not in the least bit. I didn't think it was the least bit depressing but more over less boring.

Not even when Moon died? Yeah, strays do have a difficult life, but they don't all end in misery. My grandparents had a wonderful husky mix who had (what I hope was) a good life before she passed away not long ago. Even the dog in the story had a happy ending I guess, but it was focused to much around her misfortune. Maybe they were just trying to point out that not all dogs have that fairy tale life before the ending or something... I do know it's not going to make the book that popular though.

I found the first and second really boring and the Goblet of Fire too depressing. The others are amazing.. I always hated those R.L. Stine books. They were always really cheesy, I thought. Goosebumps were cheesy yes but did you ever try reading any of the Fear Street series he made for teens? There are some sorta corny ones in it too but I've read alot of interesting ones. They are kinda hard to find nowadays though.

Some i didn't like. you had to make up your own ending or something because it just had to cliffhanger >.< Others that i've read i've enjoyed and still love, like some werewolf ones. Werewolf of Fever Swamp was always a fav (the episode not so much).

Many aren't horror books, they are stories about an ordinary day going to hell, see: The Mist, The Girl who Loved Tom Gordon, Cell, Dreamcatcher etc. Also it doesn't matter if you like Star Wars or Star Trek, you can still like the other. Also both are inferior to Dune.

Zorro the Coyote wrote: Granted, he's supposed to be a vampire but, when girls start falling in love with werewolves and vampires, I think it's time to say the world of character fandom has gone TOO far. People do think that Edward in the book is "hot", it's sad and pathetic. Although Bella - worst heroine EVER - does describe as 'hot' and 'sexy' all the way through the books! For God's sake, girl; we KNOW he's HOT! Can we move on and have some action please? In 'Breaking Dawn', they totally ruined the birth scene. Something that is perhaps the most beautiful thing on Earth was ruined because Bella had to nearly die! Couldn't she just give birth nine months in like a NORMAL person!? This is what proves that the writer of Twilight has NO writer's muse. She couldn't even come up with nine months worth of story so she shortened the pregnancy to three months. How unoriginal and inaccurate! LOL so true, most normal people when they think of a Human-Blood-Sucking creature that can kill you will try to stay away from it - But no, Bella tries to be it's date. I'm not sure if that was supost to make Bella unique, it made her look stupid. [And no, it's not Smart Talented unque Person in demand] And Werewolves- The wolfs of humans- You want to cheat on a vampire and a werewolf? Well, I think the book was for female Teenagers- clearly - for their crazed fantasies, heck, I read RobinXRaven [Teen titans] Vampire Fanfiction better than this book. [It's better than it sounds really] 'Bout the Birth : I don't know what the writer was pulling there, but that was too dramatic. Heck, almost dying from having a vampire baby - way to much for me. As for the romance - I'm very picky about how a relation ship starts - But I clearly didn't like how their relationship started, it was too quick. Yup, that's some of the reason why I don't like Twilight. I know this site is a "Kid Friendly" So I won't go into more detail. :]
