Sergei & Amali (Me and SixNewAdventures ONLY)

Sergei watched as Amali padded out of the den, and suddenly he felt a whole new feeling inside him, like there was butterflies in his stomach, his heart was filling with warm and light, and this was all new to him. How could he have possibly known then that he was falling in love.

Amali felt the deep feeling that she should open up to Sergei; tell him about her life. She somehow wanted to get close to him, maybe become best friends, if not, more. She shook the feeling away. Get a grip, Amali. she scolded herself. You know what happened the last time you let yourself love. The pain is too much. You can never go through that again.

Sergei laid his head on his paws and closed his eyes, he decided to rest a little bit like Amali had told him to. However, the minute he closed his eyes he saw her face in front of him, smiling, and looking very beautiful. Her emerald green eyes gazed upon him, shining like two green diamonds, and he had never seen anything like that. Now Sergei quickly opened his eyes, and lifted his head, like he'd woken up from a beautiful dream, he raised his eyebrows, and couldn't really understand what had just happened, then he shook his head, and sighed, laying his head back on his paws.

Amali crouched down in the grass, her gaze set on a zebra a few feet away from her. She suddenly sprang and chased after it. She thanked all her lucky stars that she was amazing at hunting as just a few seconds after running, she leaped up upon the zebra, sinking her teeth into its neck. In a few seconds, it was all over. Amali got up, proud. Then as she looked, she saw that the zebra was a huge one. Why had she targeted a large one when there had been a sick one right beside it? Was it because she wanted Sergei's approval? But why did she want his approval?

Sergei tried shutting his eyes again, but he just couldn't get to sleep because Amali kept constantly coming to his mind. He didn't understand at all why he couldn't stop thinking about her, and now he even found himself actually waiting for her to return, just so he could see her again.

- What's wrong with me? Why can't I get you off my head? Sergei thought silently in his mind.

Amali dragged the zebra to the den. When she saw Sergei, her heart skipped a beat to her surprise. She lay the zebra down.

"Sergei? You awake?" she asked softly.

Sergei was a bit starteled when he heard Amali's voice asking if he was awake, he turned his head and saw her standing there with the zebra under her feet.

- Oh, you're back already, he said, raising his eyebrows and tried to sound normal.

Amali bent down and pushed the zebra towards him.

"I caught something for the both of us." she said, trying to ignore the rapid beating of her heart as she stared into his blue eyes.

- That's one handsome zebra, Sergei said with a smile as he looked at the zebra, then he lifted his head and looked at Amali, and couldn't help but to stare at her green eyes for a while.

- You... have beautiful eyes... he then mumbled, but after realizing what he said he immidietally corrected:

- I mean talent! You've got real hunting talent!

Amali put her head down, surprised yet flattered by the comment.

"Thanks, Sergei." she said in a low voice, trying to hide the blush that crept to her face.

Sergei grinned nervously, ashamed of what he had let out of his mouth, he just simply couldn't have controlled himself, he was so lost in her eyes.

- Ehh... you're welcome, he mumbled, and had a shy smile on his face.

Amali looked at him and raised her eyebrows. Somehow, looking at his red mane and blue eyes made her feel like all the energy was sucked out of her body. She simply distracted herself by pushing the feeling away and looking down at the zebra.

"Are you gonna eat or what?" she joked. "I didn't hunt this zebra for you to just go to sleep and forget about it. We'll need our strength for the morning."

Sergei laughed a little, and looked at Amali with a smile.

- You're right, let's get eating, he said and took a bite of the zebra's leg.

('Cause I was thinking they start falling for each other, but don't tell each other yet. When Sergei realizes that she is the one who will change his life, he fears the worst and she leaves. Then he realizes that they were meant to be together^^ What do you think?)

Amali gave a small laugh and bit into the zebra's hide too. All the time, she tried to ignore the fact that Sergei was right beside her, eating his fill.

Sergei was focused on eating, but could still sense Amali's presence and that she sometimes gazed at him. It was obvious that there was a sparkle between them, however neither one of them didn't realize it. And that new feeling inside Sergei was growing stronger all the time...
