Sauda, Chaka and Alonzo turned around to face a huge brown lion. It was Kovu. "There will be no more quarreling tonight." he said. "You two have no right to doubt my choice of the future ruler." Then he turned to Alonzo. "I remember you." he said. He turned to the rest of the party. "We will proceed home at once. We will question Alonzo at Pride Rock." he announced.

Sauda noticed Alonzo keeping to the back and fell back, ignoring a fiery look from Chaka. She began walking with Alonzo.

She also nudged him. They both kept a steady pace till they reached Pride Rock. "Sauda!" Kiara called her daughter. "I guess that's my cue." Sauda told Alonzo and padded over to sit beside her mother.

Sauda's eyes filled with concern. Her sister Shani nudged her. "He'll be alright Sauda." she said. Sauda hoped Shani was right. She gave Chaka a furious look and turned to her father. "What were Jeraha's plans?" Kovu asked.
