Kapik's leg was caught under the falling Caribou, and he whined slightly but tugged it out. He snapped onto thee animal's neck and ripped away until it was layying lifelessly.

Lakota let go panting some and went over to Kapik's side and smiled at him. She leaned down and started to eat.

Kapik stood back, letting his mate eat first. He stood on three legs, his front right pulled up to his chest, sore from being crushed by the large Caribou. He lowered his head to pull at the flanks of the caribou some before digging in like Lakota.

Lakota looked up at Kapik noticing his leg and stopped eating, "Is your leg hurt?" Lakota asked and walked over to Kapik to examine his leg.

Kapik shook his head quickly.
"Nah no, no...Im, er, fine." He said, placing his paw lightly on the ground for emphasis. "See?" He asked, smiling nervously.

"Hmm.. Okay," Lakota slowly going down to eat anouther bite, still watching Kapik's leg at the corner of her eye.

Kapik's leg quivered, but he ignored the pain. He glanced up to find Lakota watching him again.
"My leg is fine Lakota." He huffed, smiling a tiny bit.

"Ok, I just don't want to see you hurt," Lakota said sitting up again, "Anyway, it was my fault the caribou fell on you. I should have know you were under it," Lakota mumbled looking at her paws.

Kapik laughed a little bit. "No, it's fine, really. 's not your fault." Kapik assured her, with a bright smile.

Kapik huffed with a smile, and swished his tail. He finished eating, and sat down with his foot still pulled up to his chest.

Lakota finshished too and then said, "Hmm... I'm thirsty you want to go down the the river," she asked.

Kapik grinned.
"Of course!" He said, turning and limping to stand beside Lakota.

Lakota glanced at his leg quickly, knowing he was lying but pretend to ignore it so he would be upset. Lakota lead him down to the river and she started to lap up some water.

Kapik smiled, and began to lap up some water as well, then licked at his foot. He sighed and watched the water roll by.
"So..." he began.
