Tric gave a nervous, but impending laugh. "You? Yes." He said. This was clearly stating that he wouldn't be, if anything were to happen. He wanted Winter to know that he knew she was tough, but that he didn't want her to get caught if something were to happen. Though with just those words, he couldn't exactly express all that.

He shrugged helplessly. "Let's just say, I know you can handle it, but if something happens, you won't have to."

Tric wanted to leave it at that, but knew by throwing out that sentence it was bound to receive some sort of answer in response. As he continued walking until the alleyway opened, he let his shoulders and back relax a bit even though his stomach was turning. He looked both ways across nearly empty streets. It was close to dawn. Morning, if nothing else. Barely anyone was up and driving at this time.

Still, that didn't mean that danger wouldn't or couldn't be at their feet. They still needed to be careful with each and every step. Tric wanted badly to split up and search the entire area, just to be sure, but he knew he couldn't do that. Not only were they stronger in numbers, together, but they'd all get caught one by one if he were to let them all separate.

He could almost picture it in his head, and he didn't like the image. His eyes searched around and around until he finally spoke again. "What do you say we check over there first?" He pointed towards the left. There was where he felt a gut wrenching turn inside. So there seemed the best place to start. "If there's nothing there we can make a circle and look around the entire place."

"Tric, if you're trying to say you'll sacrifice yourself for me, forget it. I won't let you get captured just because I need defending. Which I don't. I can take care of myself, and yes, I will do so. You can't stop me from trying to protect you. Okay?" Winter said.

While Tric was four years older than her, she did feel rather close to him. But letting someone else sacrifice themselves for her...she wouldn't allow it. At Tric's suggestion, she nodded. "Seems okay with me," she said.

Tric didn't know what to say to Winter's response. You could guess he was a bit shocked that Winter would even think about sacrificing herself, not to mention trying to protect him. It didn't matter. Either way, Tric knew what he was going to and would do. No amount of talk or convinced conversation could stop him.

Because the truth was, he wouldn't be able to keep himself from doing it either way. Even if he wanted to run like a coward, he would stand and fight because his feet wouldn't allow the movement backwards. His mind was that wired. Wired... it was a funny pun if he thought about it hard enough.

And nowadays, jokes were some of the only things keeping him happy. Of course he had his fellow Arcs. But when you're on the run trying to save not only your life, but the lives of everyone else around you as well, trying not to get killed or found, you tended to get serious. No matter who you were. A little comedy wouldn't hurt to brighten up the day, would it?

His eyes glanced towards the spot again and he gulped down a nervous breath. Despite the shaky feelings and the frightened kid inside himself, he managed to put on a strong tone of voice. "Alright then, let's go."

He was trying his very best not to act scared and for the moment, his body and brain seemed to be cooperating. Like it was said before. His mind was wired. And although slightly humorous, it was also true. His face didn't allow much room for wide eyes full or fear or an expression saying 'Run'. His form was built for strong, lean looks. Or at least it was supposed to be.

Tric just hoped that in the end, all these things would pay off. Or that in the end, it didn't cost him his life. Not to mention his friends.

Vivid tagged along with Tric and Winter, simply listening to their conversation while she kicked a small pebble along. When the duo began talking about sacrificing themselves, she instantly interrupted, "If all else fails, I'll illuse them." It was true; she could create illusions in people's minds, although it took alot of energy and she didn't use it often. That's how she was given her name: Vivid Stimulus. Although teleporting away from danger proved the most useful and energy-saving, she was willing to deceive for the sake of her friends.

Vivid could easily say that she was closest to Raze and Tric, even though Raze was around 18, Tric 17, and Vivid 14. She was young and she knew her place, but it didn't mean she wouldn't try to help them if need be. She didn't feel particularily close to Winter, but she knew they could talk like friends and plan new relocation routes if Raze was too tired to.

Alright guys, this RP is dying fast, and usually I'd let everyone go about their business if the RP wasn't going too well, but this one won an award and its still so young! o3o So please try and revive? Pretty please? :3

Winter nodded, her blue eyes determined. At Vivid's suggestion, she gave another nod. "Or I could always taze them," she said, making small electric sparks jump from her fingers for a moment.

Death leaned against the wall, bored out of her mind. She wondered where the white wolf was. Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, she saw it. The wolf stared her straight in the eyes and then dashed towards her, teeth bared. Death instinctively transformed into a wolf. She growled and bared her teeth at the wolf. The wolf lunged at her, fangs gleaming in the sunlight. Death snarled and lunged forward, catching the wolf by the back leg and throwing it towards the wall. It lay limp like a ragdoll. Death trotted back to her spot, transformed back into a human and sat down, wondering where the others were by now...

Wow. I am mega tempted to join this, but is there a deadline to join?
