an hour later...

Hailey sits on her bed, playing with her doll's hair again, she sighs and looks across at the locked door. "Being punished really stinks," she whispers to herself, her head hurts, her ears still flattened. She walks over to the bookshelf and takes out one of the books, crawling back on her bed putting a small lamp on the small table next to her.
She glances out the shut window, wondering how Zion is.

Zion Wandered the streets, keeping on the sides where its the most darkest so he can keep out of sight of any other people. Spotting the house that Hailey described as her house. rushing over and circling around the house. keeping low so her mother doesnt see him through any windows. Spotting a light on near the tree, he rushed over to the Tree. peeking around and spotted Hailey pass by. smiling alittle glad to see he found her window. Looking around his feet he found himself a Pebble. Throwing it at Hailey's Window to get her attention. talking in awhisper to himself "I sure hope her mother aint in the same room.." he hid behind the tree only peeking around. hoping to see its hailey who investigates.

Hailey's ear twitches ,"a noise?" she murmurs, "a mouse?...no it was coming from...the window?" she frowns and leaves her book on the bed and goes to investigate, opening the window slowly and quietly, looking out cautiously.

"PssT!" He said loudly. Peeking more out with his hand waving alittle towards hailey "Down here!" he whispered loudly

Hailey looks down, and her eyes widen, "Zion?!" she squeaks then quickly tones down, 'w-what are you doing here?" she smiles in spite of her harsh predicament.

Zion smiled back. looking at the tree, and jumping up climbing, getting good grips of the bark and footing. Reaching a Branch close to Hailey's window. climbing onto it and sitting "Hey there" he smiled "Im.. Sorry for keeping you out so late and got you in trouble.."

Hailey blinks in surprise and then shrugs, "it wasn't your fault really," she says with a sigh, "but thank you..for coming anyway." she smiles warmly, "did..you get in trouble for...the mud?"

Zion nodded "My dad Was really annoyed about it and just Sprayed me with water." Zion fixed his fur alittle "It aint the first time i came home muddy.. i think they getting annoyed at it happening so much" Zion looked back over to Hailey "They sent me to bed. But i snuck out my window, I had to see if you were okay" Zion spoke calmly. "i really care for you Hailey." He said "YOur my bestest friend!"

Hailey giggles at the thought, 'well maybe I can help you stay clear of the mud" she grins at him, opening the window more and crawling lightly onto the branch next to him.
"you know what?" she whispers, "you are my bestest friend too," and leans over and hugs him tightly.

Zions eyes open in shock as she Hugged him. Hesitating for a moment but Wraps his arms around Hailey too "When your back out, We will start on that fort! Together. i cant wait" he smiled at Hailey. really exicted to know he has atrue friend now, even after just a short time. Hailey is his first real friend.

Hailey smiles even wider, "I'm really glad we're friends, Zion," her eyes sparkle in the moonlight, she sighs, "I'm stuck in there, all day tomorrow, I'll be back outside the day after," her ears flatten, "so what are you gonna do tomorrow and all?.." she asks..

"oh... Well what if i come over Again? Maybe we can talk and play like this!" zion nodded "we can tell eachother questions! Id like to learn more of you hailey!" he smiles "And your mom wont have to know! il hide if she knocks" he nodded

"can you come over tomorrow?" Hailey asks eagerly, "I would love to talk to you again, and you're right, friends should get to know each other the best they can, " she agrees.
"Hailey!"
"speaking of my mother..I'd better get back in...and you should go before she sees you!" hailey whispers urgently, she crawls back across the branch to her window. "I'll see you tomorrow?" she says hopefully and beams at him.

Zion blinked as he sees Hailey's eyes Beam at him brightly from the moonlight. Nodding quickly "Ofcourse! Il be here in the morning! hang around the window if your alone and il climb to you!" He said quickly "You need to go quick!" as he gazed past her to her room

"see you," Hailey whispers, and darts into her room, shutting the window gently behind her and jumping back on the bed as her mother comes in with dinner.
She sits back and reads, a smile on her face.
