Sakak lead them to a small cave. "Alright, here you go little ones," he said. "You'll be nice and safe in here, alright?"

"I think whatever is causing this is supernatural." said Balto. "I mean look, that scarf had been complete changed into something else and a lot of weird stuff has been happening."

Kai whimpered, looking at the angel. "You tell Mama where we are, right?" he asked, wanting his parents.

Jenna nodded. "There is nothing right about today." she said, shaking her head. "If it's supernatural, it'll be hard to find. They probably hid themselves."

Tai tried to be optimistic. "Maybe he...he go and find Mama and Papa." she said, cearly not buying it herself.


The more and more he talked, the more and more Belladonna's fear had been quelled. She sighed softly, regaining her self. "You're right, I suppose such a fright," she dusted off any extra ice. "Made me lose sight of her words." she smiled wider, grinning savagely as he told her the plan. "Wonderful, but this face won't scare them, no..." she said, a little conceited. Hey, she was a demon! She smiled wider, leanign into that paw. "Really, prove your loyalty? How?" she asked.



Jenna shook her head, brow furrowed. "I just wish I knew... But other than the fact this tihng is supernatural, we don't have anything else to lead on."


Katie sniffed, blinking softly. She wiggled her nose, trying to get the stink out. "Phew! I haven't had that scent in my nose in a long while." she said, sneezing. "It smells like wood halfly." she tohught long and hard, before asking. "What are those little dogs, the scavengers, that look like wolves?' she asked. "They're brown, and thin."


OOC: Assumign that if he has a scent, it's that of a coyote's.

"I scared..." said Cachen, shaking.

"Oh, I didn't mean that kind of Loyality," said Sakak, giving her a sly grin and then a kiss on the nose. "I meant that kind, you beutiful demon you."

"Coyote?" asked Balto. He sniffed it. "That's not all there's another like...kinda like rotten eggs."

OOC: Brimstone, since Belladonna is a demon.

Katie nodded, smirking. "That's it! But... they're so little, they'd never survive the winters here..." she said, thinking, her eyes widened. "But, that wood doesn't smell liek the forest, it smells like carved wood. That could mean so many things though. She blinked when her father-in-law pulled back. She sniffed, going back with a serious shake of her head, trying to drive the smell away. "Ack! Brimstone!" she said, rubbign her nose.


Jenna blinked. "How do you know it's brimstone?"


Katie blinked. "It's naturally occuring. Papa used to call it sulfur, I think. But I know the names of a lot of stones and plants."

Jenna blinked. "But were are there large deposits of it that we know of?"


Tai comforted her borther, lickign his cheek. "It okay, Cachen."


Belladonna blinked, before grinning. "really... If you're gonna do it, do it right." she said, reachig up an bending a large pine branch in front of them. To anyone who passed, it sounded more like a large comical smooch. When the brnach snapped back up, she was grinning, looking extremely calm. "That's how you do it. Or do I have to catch you up, cutie?"

OOC: That must make it hard to find friends, smelling like egg salad.

"Wait...Katie, do you know any legends that could explain it? I think these are two seperate scents, if its supernatural, maybe a legend explains it." said Balto. "Any about Coyotes that would do stuff like this?"

OOC: She'd know Sakak's background, just not the deal with Santa.

Lena's eye glowed yellow for a moment, she seeing the 'angel' morph back to his true form. She gasped. "he no angel! I just see, he turn into something else and look...mean."

"You're defiently my kind of girl." said Sakak, giving a cartoonish howl. "Alright, let's go celebrate Christmas, our way, by ruining it."

Katie nodded, her mouth a tight line. "Pakak. He's a Mischief Spirit. But, the last i heard, the spirits banished him form the world most of the year in a totem pole." she said, ears flat.


It was Tai who started to cry, sobbing fearfully. "I knew! I knew! I knew something not right, I told Mama and Papa to no go...!" she said with a whimper, crying out loud, scared.

Kai was nervous, not used to seeing Tai like this. He shushed her, and beckoned for them to huddle together. Tears lined his eyes. He was scared, too.


Belladonna laughed, swooping low. "You first. You are the one who's goign to be doing the honors." she said, spreading her wings for flight.

Balto looked seirous. "Totem pole...the scent had the smell of carved wood..."

Lena growled. "He mean! Why act like Angel to trick us?!"

Cachen started crying too. "I miss momma!"

Sakak flew off with her. "This'll be fun, I've pranked him before, but never like this! I'll be great!"

OOC: Yay! Shows we love this RP!

Katie's eyes widened, fear eatched into her face. "He's out," she whispered, shivering. "The Spirit of Mischief is loose! hat're we gonna do!" she asked, afraid.


Kai shook his head, nuzzlign his little brother and sister comfortingly. "I no know... but it dirty trick." he said, looking upset, a few tears spilling over.


Tai sobbed, leaning agaisnt Cachen. "I want go home!" she wailed, shiverign and shaking form the strength of her sobs.


Belladonna laughed, grinning slyly. "The moment I help you ruin this stupid holiday... I'll be granted into the seventh circle- not only are you helpign yourself, you're helping me too." she held his face, murmuring. "and I'll prove my Loyalty to you as well."

"well," said Katie said, wincing. "it's this part that freaks me out; Pakak isn't strong intially, but the more ill will mortals have, the more his power grows. Speaking in Christmas terms he tries to make people naughty, and he feeds off of it."


Belladonna grinned, eyes sparkling. The dog's eyes sparked with a magnificent flame, ambition. "The whole thing?" she said, unbelieving. Finally she nodded, pressing herself close. "I think it would. It'll be so wonderful to summer there, my darkest darling."

Kai nodded, lifting his head. "Yeah. We get out here... Someone nice find us."
