(This is my first post on the forums, let's hope I don't mess anything up.)
I guess I could give several reasons, I had always felt like an outcast, and I knew I as a loner, and when I was twelve, almost thirteen I went into a depression for multiple reasons. Then, this one time I found an original "Balto" VCR tape, I had nothing to do and looked at what it was. Immediately, the plot caught my eye and I felt as if I could relate to it, and indeed I did. I watched the movie three times in a row. It was my favorite movie of all time, and Balto became my role-model. somehow, without knowing it, It influenced me and helped me, a lot. Afterwards, I watched the whole series and was dying for more. It helped me out of a depression and delivered a strong message to me. It was more than just a movie to me. To this day I would still consider myself an outcast and loner, but at least I'm a happy one, I found my relief in self-understanding and knowledge. It also gave me a deep passion for wolves for some odd reason, now I can't seem to get enough of them.

I was one when I was in Preschool all the way up to 5th grade. I found a couple of friends in middle school, but I still feel like an outcast. I am currently on and off in depressions, and seeing Balto power through the hurt was one of the most best things I've ever seen that gave me a message. I hope you "Reach for the light." (and that was for everyone!) It's good to hear the feeling is mutual.

As my first post as well.....
Basically because Balto is one of those movies that never leaves your heart or your mind. Despite the fact what I learned about Balto vs. Toy Story in box office profits (needless to say I won't have anything to do with Toy Story now haha) Balto is a blockbuster to me. I am not ashamed of being a fan of Balto (even though I keep the 2nd and 3rd DVD's as a secret) because I grew up with him in my life. I look at the screenshots everyday and in my mind, it provides serenity. I may be a heavily self-conscious person, but its good to say Balto doesn't fall under that category.

I first saw the movie was when I was about 5. Then I was addicted to it until I was 7 or 8. Suddenly I stopped watching it and never thought of it until last weekend. I decided to watch the movies again. I almost cried. The movie had brought back so many memories. Balto has always been my hero, both real and in the movie. I love you Balto!
