"Alright, then let's do that," said Spyro. "Can everyone travel at the same speed?"

"Sure..." said Samus. She followed Cynder as fast as possible, dodging fire from her as well.

Cynder continued leading them into a black storm cloud.

"Ok, well I can fly," said Spyro. "So I don't need to ride, but everyone else probably would," he explained. "And just for the record, I'd stay out of Samus' way at this point," he said. "If you've heard the story of what she did to the ones that killed a baby Metriod that thought she was its mother, you'll understand how protective she can be."

OOC: He's refering to the end of Super Metriod. At least in my version, her obliterating Mother Brain was in furry for killing the Metriod that saw her as its mother.

Static from her magic in the engine room suddenly caused the wrench she was working with to magnitize onto a pipe. Another stray particle of magic suddenly transformed into a lightning bolt and zapped Yoshi on the rear; she found herself dodging eggs he pegged at her in retaliation. "Sorry! It wasn't me, okay, it sort of was, but not intentionally! Yoshi, cut it out!" she yelled, covering her head with her hands. Another bolt of energy evolved, this time zapping herself. "Youch! See, it wasn't just you!"

Yoshi paused his egg throwing long enough to observe the frantic princess dodging wrenches and bolts from the tool set flying towards her as she was shocked by her own magic. He quickly giggled to himself before resuming his fire on the dragon.

Okay! Time for Sheik! That form doesn't require hardly any magic at all! Her attempt to transform resulted in the electrical outbursts to intensify at a greater rate. "Samus! What's happening? I can't control my powers; something is interfering," Zelda shrieked.

Link nodded. "I think Lucario, Midna, and I should travel with Falco, which would leave Mario, Kirby, and Peach with Fox. What do you guys think?"

Midna eyed the metal contraptions suspiciously. "Can those really carry four people in the cockpits? I dunno... they look like they can barely handle two average sized brawlers each."

"Midna, don't you normally float around? Seems like you should be able to fly yourself," cut in Peach.

"I do, but not fast enough to keep up on my own!" she snapped, then winced at how it might sound to the others. "Er, what I mean to say, you make a valid point, but that's not how it works," she added with a deflated sigh.

"We're flying into a strange storm." said Samus, following after Cynder. Suddenly, a hole in the storm was revealed, though it was more like an open area inside it. Inside were floating ruins. "That's not a good sign, is it?"

"Those are ruins! But they're floating!" yelled Den-O, suprised. "Cool!"

"We'd better hurry, we can't let Cynder get too far ahead, or we might not find her before whoever is controling her makes his next move." said Spyro.

Zelda sighed. "You're the easily entertained type, aren't you," she replied sarcastically to Den-o.

Yoshi quickly offered the other brawler a high-five along with a thumbs up, giggling histarically.

"Samus, this may not be Hyrule, but the only creatures that I know of that could possibly have the technology to master something like this without magic are the Oocca. I'm no expert, but this cloud seems to be acting as a magical polar region; if it's causing my magic to go into a static beserk, surely it must amblify the Emperor's, which leads me to think that if this place was held up by magic, it could cause some sort of overload, unless... Do you think he's powering up a weapon of some sort?"

"Good riddence," Midna muttered as soon as the cockpit's roof sealed an air-tight barrier around them.

Link quickly pinched her ear. "Don't think you've gotten out of dealing with her yet!" he hissed. "If you think she's bad, try Navi!"

"I'll pass," she replied dryly. "So... Lucario, right? What do you make of this messy buiseness so far?" she giggled nervously.

"No, it's not the Emperor," said Samus. "Look at them, they're ancient, these have been here a long, long time." she said. "Odds are, the Emperor sent Cynder in there to get something he wants. We'd best get headed after her."

Den-O, being him, was busy taking photos of it.

Spyro took off and waited for the others to follow suit.

Midna shrugged. "I can respect that."

Link glanced at Lucario, then Midna, before staring blankly ahead again in silence.

Peach waved a dainty gloved hand at the random flowers below them as their ship's shadow passed overhead. "So, will you do those loopedy-loop thingies?" she asked sweetly.

Zelda sighed and leaned back against a metal drum, sulking slightly, but she quickly leaned forward again when her magic reacted with the metal and shocked her. But just as quickly as the static outbursts started, they rapidly slowed to a sluggish pulse before finally dispersing all together. "Huh, that was odd. I have barely any magical energy left, but at least I have enough to change to Shiek finally," she murmured. In a faint dance of golden lights, her Zelda form quickly melted away, being replaced by Shiek, completing the transformation.

Spyro took off towards his homeland, leading the others.

Samus's gunship touched down on the ruins where Cynder had entered. "Alright, let's go, keep onguard."

Den-O transformed back to Sword Form. "Alright, let's go! I want to fight!" he yelled, starting towards the entrence.

Cynder ducked unnoticed out of the bottom of the ruins into the clouds, vanishing, having done what she'd been ordered to.
