"What would be wrong? There isn't any danger here." Rio said to her.

"It's just-" Sadie paused. She was still hesitant to tell Rio of her suspicions, yet she had to thin of some explanation. Silence followed her incomplete sentence as she tried to work out what to say.

"I did hear a noise over that direction," He pointed where he heard the sound with his nose.
"It sounded familiar, but I just can't pinpoint it." Rio finished.

Sadie finally decided. "Rio, when I went for a walk earlier, I kept picturing the battle scene and all. I kept having this feeling that- that Ai was alive and nearby. Then I spotted a glimpse of fur exactly like hers through the bushes. That's why I ran. I think she might have survived."

"What?! How would she have survived? We saw her dead in the battlefield! You might just be hallucinating. Don't worry, I bet she is dead." Rio said to her to calm her down.

"Rio, I don't hallucinate. Not like that, at least. I swear, Ai is alive. If you don't believe me, at least humor me, and be careful, and more viigilant. Okay?" Sadie was positive she was right, but knowing how stubborn Rio could be, she wasn't sure he believed her, or would believe her.

At the corner of his eyes, he thought he saw a glimpse of Ai watching in the distance. He could hear rusting of the leaves. Now, He believed her. But he didn't want her to know he spotted her. Soon, Ai was out of sight.
"I believe you. We need to head back to our pups." Rio said.

"Good idea. I think Ryan may have met up with Ai somewhere. And I think she managed to trick him somehow. But we shouldn't let him know we're suspicious, just act normal," Sadie suggested.

Sadie reached them a little before Rio did.
Laika grinned. "Momma! Daddy!" she cried happily, as if they had been away for a much longer period of time. SHe rushed towards them, somehow tripping over her own paws on the way.

Sadie took only a second to decide. She gave a small, playful growl. "You better run," she warned, taking a step forward.
Juno laughed, and ran.
