"Well..." Izzay began, a slight stutter noticeable. "I-I, um," she briefly paused again, taking a few seconds to consider whether to impart with the crucial details or not. "I ran away from home when I was eleven. I've been living here for a while, but if you tell somebody, they'll take me away, to an orphanage, or back to my aunt." She visibly shuddered at that thought. Her eyes contained a desperate look, and her wild hair and prominent ribs marking what she said to be true.
Shay felt sympathy for the firl. "I won't tell," she said softly. Alot more words were running through her brain, but her quiet nature led her to say nothing, instead communing with her actions. She placed a comforting hand on Izzy's shoulder. Even though she could feel her flinch at the touch, she also felt her relax.
"Thank you," Izzy whispered, her knees shaking with relief. She leaned against the tree to steady herself.
Kya nosed Izzy's hand with her cold nose, and soon she felt her hand rubbing her velvet ear. Kya's tail wagged softly, making a steady but soft thump against the trunk of a tree.

Ryan shook his head, sorry for the girl, for he knew how she felt. "Don't worry. I know how you feel. But there's no need to hide. No one's gonna take you to a shelter. I should know," he said then grinned.

Rufus listened to the conversation quietly. "Ok. I won't say anything." he spoke.
"I won't either. As long as you tell us why you're here." Bailey agreed.
Shell layed down beside Izzy,still trying to comfort her.
Mischeif woof quietly to Izzy.

Izzy had relaxed fractionally, even though the change wasn't visible. She managed a small smile in the direction of the dog who had barked at her, and continued running her fingers through the soft fur of Kya.

Jake's a tuxedo cat(had to say it. I <3 that breed)
A dark shape waltzed over to where they were. It noticed the humans, and hissed. Then it noticed the dogs, and hissed louder.
Mischief let out a small growl at the cat, "Who are you?!" he yipped.Shell looked at the cat, slightly, and noticed Mishief growling. She tried to hold back a laugh.
The cat felt cornered. "Jake. I'm a Loner." he mewed.
Rufus noticed the cat, "Hey, that cat your's?" he asked Izzy.

Hunter suddenly jumped a bit, surprised by the cat. He growled slightly, but seeing as the cat wasn't much of a threat, he wasn't growling much.
Ryan suddenly took notice of the cat.

Mischef raised an eyebrow. "She's your owner?"
"Ummm, sorta." The cat replied.

Art boldly climbed up Dawn's leg and beeped in fright of the cat. He took shelter in her pocket and curled up.
Dawn chuckled "Im sorry, my rat is a bit scared of cats" she apologized to Izzy.
