Ryan nodded at Maya's question. "Yes, I'm positive. Now that we're in the alleys, the sun can't shine on us. The only thing we'll have to worry about is gang members and they consider us more apart of the gang than a stranger."

Skye resisted the urge to curl her lip, which would reveal her elongated canines.

Ryan put his hand between the gang members and him, and the others. He turned back to them. "I'll handle this..." he walked towards them. He looked them straight in the eyes again. They seemed to put down their weapons. "Hey Ryan!" they said. "Hey guys," Ryan responded, then waved for the others to come over.

Ryan laughed along witht the gang members. "What's up man?" one of them asked. "Nothin' much. You remember Skye right?" he asked, pointing to her. They grinned. "Yup, sure do." They then looked past Skye and Ryan, to see two new humans behind them. "Who are those two?" they asked.

Skye answered before Maya could. "This is Zac and Maya. they're friends of ours." Although this was spoken in a pleasant tone, it was a warning that they were with her and Ryan, and any harm inflicted upon them would result in a fight.

The gang understood her warning. "That sounds cool. Do they wanna be recruits too?" Ryan and Skye had been 'recruits' for the gang. Even though they didn't stick around too long at a time, they were considered members.

Maya was confused. A recruit for what? She looked at Zac, deciding to have the same answer he did.
