She savored the flavor, forcing herself to eat the meat slowly.

Fen easily ate three rabbits, and was starting to eat another one, the whole time he ate he stared at the fire, or stole quick glances at Shay when he thought she wasnt looking or paying attention.

Shayy noticed the brief glances, and began to shoot her own at him. His purple eyes mirrored the firelight, making them dance. His long hair made shadows drip down his face.

Fen turned slowly to look at Shay again, he couldnt help but reach out and stroke her cheek with his hand. "....I always thought vampires were cruel creatures.....but your different..." he pulled his hand back and then stared back at the fire, the light turning his purple eyes, slightly silver. He sighed and leaned forward a bit, he was going to put another peice of wood on the fire when he flinced, dropping the wood and biting his lower lip, he felt a warm liquid run down his back, the irony scent of blood, his blood, filled his nose. "....stupid wound..." he relized it was an old wound that had re-opened on his back. He ignored it and but the wood on the fire.

Shay wished to flinch away as his calloused hands gently caressed her cheek. She forced herself to stay still, electric tingles running down her spine. She was disappointed and relived when he broke contact. "Are you okay?" she asked, as she smelled blood. She bit her lip, concerned for the werewolf

Fen nodded "Ill be fine...the blood will stop in a bit...it always does." He pulled his gaze away from the fire to look at Shay again. "Im sorry....i didnt mean to make you uncomfertable or anything....its just...a suprise to me." He looked down at his hand and then back at the fire. "...Do you...need anything?" From being a slave to being free, it was weird to him, he couldnt help but ask her if she needed anything to be done.

Shay smiled softly. "YOu don't have to do anything for me. You're not a slave anymore."

Fen nodded very slightly. "But your still a princess, and your still a lady. Just because im not a slave anymore doesnt mean im going to disrepect my pride and think lesser of a female." He looked at her again. "Do you need anything?" he asked again, making sure that the got the point that he was now doing this to be kind, and not to try and still have a slave-like attitude.

"No, I don't," Shay said. "Thank you for asking though," she added, unsure of what else to say.

Fen nodded, he felt somewhat useless. He picked up his sword and layed it across his lap, sharping the blade with a rock, he cursed slightly as the rock slipped and the blade sliced open his palm. He growled quietly and gave up trying to sharpen the blade, he sat his sword back down on the ground and he looked at his bleeding palm, knowing that he just made the air smell more like his blood. "...sorry...." he looked at her, a thought hitting him. "....do you need blood?...cause...you are a vampire."

"I-I'm good," Shay said, tensing subtly as the smell of blood grew stronger, "The meat had some blood in it..."

Fen shook his head slightly, "Thats not going to help you..." He looked down at his bleeding hand and then at Shay. "....you should..."

"No," Shay said, actually scooting back about an inch. She could guess what he was about to suggest, and there was no way she would do it. "I'll find something later," she said hastily.
