Vigier saw his grandfather and was overwhelmed with joy, but quickly refocused as he saw Pharoah charging toward his granddaughter. He sprung into action, sprinting towards her, but he stumbled as his weakened muscles weren't strong enough to support such an action. He fell to the ground and yelled, trying to help Aurora in any way he could. "Aurora, MOVE!" he screamed hoping she would get the message in time.
Aurora heard her grandfather's voice and rolled, feeling Pharoah strike a glancing blow as he charged past. The blow knocked her off balance and onto the ground again, but she was lucky to have avoided it as a full strength attack would have severely injured her. However, she was knocked into a prone position and she knew she couldn't get up quickly.

Pharoah landed before snarling and spinning around, he bared his fangs at Aurora and suddenly his body began to glow a faint golden colour. The power seemed to be coming from the jewel in the center of his lair, the item that the Swiftpaw had been meaning to take whilest on their raid earlier. He could feel power surging through his body, and he soon released a deadly blast aimed at Aurora.

ooc: I'm really sorry for the delay. My schedule is a lot better now so I'll be a lot more punctual about posting

Vigier gaped at Pharoah as he saw the energy Pharoah had gathered. He realised that with that kind of power, defeating Pharoah was well beyond his own limited capacity. He gasped for air, hoping to get one last burst and took off into a dead sprint.
Aurora twisted and shifted trying to get herself out of a vulnerable position and back into a fighting capacity. She could feel her heartbeat where Pharoah had struck, each beat sending a painful rush of blood to the undoubtedly bruised area. She winced as she moved, but she knew that the pain was secondary to getting herself out of trouble. She knew she had little time before she would be in a lot more pain if she didn't hurry. Steeling herself through the pain, she excrutiatingly twisted herself back onto her feet and stood up, just in time to see the great golden blast speeding towards her. It was too close for her to avoid, she could only manage a weak instinctual shift to protect her bruised side. She closed her eyes, hoping that she would be able to open them after the impact and braced for the inevitable damage. As she waited, the seconds ticked by at an agonizing pace, each moment felt like an hour as she awaited her impending doom. Finally, after a few seconds, she gathered the courage to open one eye. The golden blast had disappeared and was replaced by an astounded looking Pharoah. She looked around to see what could have protected her from the blast and her eyes rested on a quivering mass at her feet. With horror, she realised that the damaged pile of fur and flesh was her grandfather. All thoughts of Pharoah and the battle fled from her mind as she broke down into tears. "Grandpa," she whispered weakly, gently nuzzling his dying body, unsure how to comfort him in his last moments.
Vigier slipped into a numb, barely conscious state as he felt his life draining away. His mind had stopped responding to pain and he knew it wouldn't be long before it stopped responding altogether. He heard a weak whisper and looked up to see his granddaughter's face. Other than the tears, she looked ok, the blast hadn't touched her at all. He smiled weakly trying to comfort her in some small way. "Aurora," he said weakly.
Aurora laid down on the ground to be closer to her dying grandfather. "I'm here, Grandpa," she replied fighting back tears.
Vigier felt his body going limp and numb, slipping into a relaxed state. "I'm proud of you, Aurora. You've always made me proud." Vigier felt his heartbeat go faint. "I love you, Aurora."
Aurora felt the tears streaming down her cheeks as she watched her grandfather's body go still. "I love you too," she whispered, hoping that somehow he could hear her. She curled up next to her grandfather, her mind racing filled with the memories of their time together. Nothing else mattered at that moment. Only her last moments with her grandfather.

Blade watched as Pharoah summoned a whole lot of energy and released a deadly blast at Aurora. Everything seemed to happen so fast, Blade couldn't keep track of everything. However, when he saw the motionless body of Aurora's grandfather he knew exactly what had happened. Blade happened to notice Pharoah walking towards Aurora and her lifeless grandfather and growled in a threatening way. "You stay away from her." He snarled, standing infront of Pharoah and blocking his path.
Pharoah was pleased and disappointed at the same time, he was pleased because he had killed Vigier and he was disappointed because he failed to kill Aurora. As he approached them, his 'son' got in his way. He growled and glared at Blade. "Get out of my way, Blade. Or I will kill you." He threatened.
"I don't care if you kill me or not, I will not let you get your paws on her so long as I still stand." He snapped, lunging forward to attack Pharoah. He succeeded in knocking him to the ground, however Pharoah recovered from the blow in just a few seconds. Soon the two were at eachother's throats, snapping and scratching.

Aurora paid no attention to the battle going on around her. She was lost in her memories. Scenes from her past, times spent with her grandfather, flowed through her mind. She remembered the times when she was young and didn't understand why he pushed her so hard, something she thought was silly, considering how hard she pushed herself afterward. She thought about the little ways he showed her his love, from always saving her favorites from the other wolves so she could have them for dinner and from the little "drills" he would put her through to give herself a little break from her work. Her tears began to stop as she remembered the fond times, they spent together. She particularly loved the time they spent lying in a meadow or somewhere, just watching the stars. She looked up involuntarily, looking for the stars, but the ceiling of Pharoah's den blocked them out. She took a deep breath. The pleasant memories had removed the tears from her eyes and brought her back to normal functioning. She scanned around her and saw the mass that was Pharoah and Blade grappling with each other. "Blade," she said, involuntarily, her mind clouding up at the thought that she had failed both her grandfather and her first love in the same day. "Come on, Aurora," she chided herself, trying to bring herself back into focus, but it was no use. She slipped to the ground, her legs giving out as her mind had lost all focus. "No, no, NO!" she thought, "I've failed everyone."
Suddenly, the memory of her grandfather popped into her mind and she heard his last words to her. "I'm proud of you, Aurora." With this, the cloud in her mind was broken and she looked back toward the combatants. She couldn't tell who was winning, but something in her heart told her that Blade was in trouble. Quickly getting back on her feet, she began running toward Blade, hoping desperately that she wasn't too late.

Blade soon grew tired, Pharoah was old but he sure was strong. He suddenly felt a sharp pain in his shoulder and realised that Pharoah had succeeded in biting him. Blade growled and lunged forward, only to be knocked onto his back by Pharoah. He knew this was a fight he couldn't win alone, where was Aurora when you needed her? Still, Blade understood the pain she felt and didn't expect her to rush to his aid.
