Archie slowly lifted his hands in surrender, but with lightning speed he jumped onto his horse and kicked his sides, making him break into a canter.

ooc- XD RYan doesn't have much of either.

Ryan dropped the sword, his hand now shaking. He pressed it over the wound again. THe cut was deep, almost scraping and exposing the bone. Ryan grabbed the dropped cloth, handing it to Rayna, averting his gaze as he did so. His teeth were clenched in pain, and he felt like collapsing on the fround.

Rayna helped Ryan stand up, then she removed his hand to check the wound. "Oooh, it's real deep." she reported. "Almost went straight through." After her diagnosis, she led him back inside his house and helped him onto the couch, which was old and torn up. She took the piece of cloth from her dress and pressed it over the wound, trying to stop the bleeding.

Ooc:// How about Ryan's mom or something comes in and sees princess Rayna and kinda freaks out a little.

"THanks," Ryan said quietly, his teeth still clenched in pain.

Ryan's mom, Mariah, walked in rightthen to see her son bleeding on the couch, and the princess wih a torn drees standing beside him, looking worried. Mariah quickly walked into the room, shock clear on her face. "What-?" she asked softly, her gaze straying from Ryan to the princess.

Rayna's gaze flicked over to Mariah, stuttering, "I-It's not what it looks like." she informed, taking the piece of cloth off Ryan's wound. "Actually...." Rayna continued. "It kind of is. But it's a long story, ma'am. And yes, I am Princess Rayna."

Mariah's gaze turned back to RYan. "WHat happened?" she asked, regardless of the whole 'tell it to you later' statement.

Rayna saw the wound began to bleed again, so she sat down with Ryan and pressed the cloth to it again. "You see, ma'am," Rayna started to think of something to say, "I... was... in the woods and so was your son, and this man just came... out of nowhere and stabbed him. In the middle of the woods. Strangest thing."

MAriah wasnt quite convinced, but her maternal instincts overrode her curiousity and suspicion and she hurried out of the room, coming back a moment later with a large wad of bandages and some herbs.She pressed the herbs onto her son's wound and bandaged it, pulling it tight.

Ryan nodded in agreement to Rayna's statement, glad his mother wasn't pressing him or her. He winced and grimaced as she pulled it tight, putting pressure onit, then relaxed as the herbs started to dull the pain.

Rayna watched, and then she relaxed as she saw that Ryan was too. "Thank you, miss." Rayna sincerely said, glad that Ryan would be healed in no time.

Rayna, when Mariah wasn't looking, whispered in Ryan's ear, "How will we get out of this one?"

Ryan shrugged, then immediatly regretted the slight movement. He drew in a hissing breath. When the herbs had taken effect again, he thought it over, then decided to go with the direct approach to the problem. "Mom, do you mind leaving and forgetting about this?" he asked, trying to sound polite.

Mariah's eyes narrowed. "No, I will not leave," she said, but one look at Ryan, who's hazel eeys were silently pleading with her made her change her mind."Fine," she said, then left the room.

"Now that your mom's gone," Rayna started, "Where on earth would we go if we did decide to run away? We have to think about everyone else, too, you know."

"If we run, we would only have to worry about ourselves, they would be fine," he said convincingly. "And I don;t know where we should run, just, away," he said, frowning.

"We should find someone who has the rights to marry people," said Rayna, "So it wouldn't be perverted or anything if we live together, by ourselves."
