"En guard!" he said, a gleam in his own eye, touching his sword to Zorra's. He then swung it out to the side, then back at her in an attempt to land a touch. He hadn't had much practice with a sword, but now was his chance, even though it was slim to beat Zorra, who fights with her sword nearly every day.

Zorra switched sides and hands, her sword blocking his attempt. "Good try, hun. Gotta be quick." She stepped and cross stepped, her sword arching towards his side.

"Be aware that this isn't exactly fair." he reminded. "You fight like this all the time, I'm sure!" He slid his sword away, sliding one foot behind him slowly, then spinning and attacking the other side.

Zorra steps, parrying the attack. "Good! Do something I dont expect," she teases. She twists her sword around his and dislodges it from his grip.
"Keep a firm paw on your weapon."

Kio weakly chuckled, "Hehe... right." he said, scratching the back of his head and then picking his weapon back up, making sure he had a firm grip on it this time. He lunged forward, attempting to tip Zorra's sword and throw her off guard.

Zorra yelped in surprise, the blade just missing her tail. She turns gracefully, clashing swords with him. As they battle, she couldnt help but notice how quickly he was picking things up... almost like they were dancing.

Kio's grip on his sword became more and more comfortable, as if the sword was morphing into his hand. Again, he thrust the blade forward, getting just a bit cocky. He was surprised at himself for learning how to handle a sword so quickly.
