I meant like have them not connected to the events of this episode, just take advantage of Khan's shipyard in the next episode. Just a suggestion.
As for title...maybe a pun on the name of the first pilot's title somehow? Or the fact its the second begining of the series? Or something to do with the big scam conspirisy thing? Just suggestions.

Where do I go to read it? Let me take a shot at the title.

Feel free to elaborate. PrtyWatrPrincess wrote: Where do I go to read it? Let me take a shot at the title. Here ==> 2nd Pilot DraftSo far I have a few possible titles that I'm not crazy about, but I can't really come up with anything better at the moment. They are all based on movie titles from the 1940s: "The Race's Edge" after The Razor's Edge"Shadow of a Duck" after Shadow of a Doubt"Race the Wild Wind" after Reap the Wild WindOf course, I haven't seen any of these movies, all I did was pull up a list of movies from the 40s to base our title on because that's what the original TS series did frequently. (We don't have to base it on a movie title though, it was just an idea.) As I said, I don't really love these titles, but they're better than the other titles I could think of which were absolutely horrible. If anyone can think of something better, don't hesitate to suggest it. Thanks!

Regarding the title...
I thought of The Fast and the Furious for some reason, and two possible titles jumped into my head.
The Fast and the Furry-ous The Fast and the Spurious (spurious means insincere or dishonest) EDIT: added a third - "Days of Blunder"
I also like "The Race's Edge."
Assuming people are happy with the story, I am really excited about we have and what we can turn it into. I wanted to check to see if my thinking on this project was in line with everyone else's. Is our ultimate goal still a comic? That was my impression anyway.
If that is the goal, it might be a good idea to try to bring some additional artists onto the project to help, since the artwork phase will be very time-consuming (much more so than the writing). I've been very impressed with the artists that we have but illustrating the pilot alone just seems like such a big job, and if we wanted to do more episodes in our season that would be even more work. I think it is worth at least asking around the online art community to see if there is anyone else we can bring on at this point. Do you guys agree?

And actuelly, to my knowledge, our plan are actual animated episodes, not comics.

Godzillawolf wrote: And actuelly, to my knowledge, our plan are actual animated episodes, not comics. Wow, that would be great and I wish it were the case, but I highly doubt that's possible with the resources we currently have. (sorry ) Although... we may be able to do some aerial scenes using Eclipse's 3D model... and possibly even some sequences using limited 2D animation similar to a colorized storyboard reel... but don't hold your breath just yet. phylogeny wrote: The Fast and the Spurious (spurious means insincere or dishonest) I like it, it's clever! phylogeny wrote: Is our ultimate goal still a comic? Yes, for the most part. You're correct that comics would be quite time consuming, which is why (at least at first) only select scenes will be made into comic pages. I can't say how many comic pages that would be... I guess however many pages the artist we currently have on the project are able to do. phylogeny wrote: I think it is worth at least asking around the online art community to see if there is anyone else we can bring on at this point. Do you guys agree? Yes, I agree. I was thinking we may be able to use the story script and a few comic pages as a tool to persuade more artist to join. Once they see proof that 'things are happening' they may be more inclined to help. My problem is that I'm not an artist and not a member of any art community, so if I joined just to try and recruit artist for our VS I would probably be labeled a spammer and banned. An actual artist, like Opus, Eclipse, Prtywatrprincess, Godzillawolf, Greykitty, etc, would probably have much better luck convincing other artists to join the VS than I would. Anyway, if anyone has an idea of what scenes would make good comic pages, please post them.

Here's an idea, what if we did sorta a radio thing with this? Have people do voice acting and make or find sound effects, then load it onto the site for people to listen to? Then post illistraitions for certain things seperately?

Then post illustrations for certain things separately? Possibly... If we could find people willing to do the voices that sound like the characters... I know I don't sound anything like any of the characters, but maybe we could find people who do. It's something to consider at any rate.

I kinda like the title "The Fast and the Furry-ous", probably because that's the only movie I know of. Quote: I was thinking we may be able to use the story script and a few comic pages as a tool to persuade more artist to join I think that's a good idea, yes. Doing a one-page comic seems realistic enough, and more people will be interested in joining the project if we're showing some art rather than writing. (even if I like both) As for getting contacts, maybe trying to contact the members who submitted art on here, would be a good start, then try Deviantart to broaden the search.

I just had another thought. Do we have a webpage specifically dedicated to the virtual season? If not I can probably make one on my webspace. It would include any teaser artwork that we create. That way we can direct potential artists to the website where they can be impressed and convinced to join I think a radio show would be tough, finding people to do convincing voices would be MUCH harder than finding people who can draw the characters convincingly (after all we already have a few of these). Also, I feel we would be losing a lot in an audio-only format as much of the appeal of the original show was the artwork. Does anyone remember the old TS comics? There a few posted on another section of this website. Assuming we are successful in getting enough volunteers to help us, I see that type of format as striking the best balance between the "wow" factor and being something we can actually achieve.

Here's a suggestion. What if we adapted the scripts into litteriture format, then we draw certain scenes for use as illistrations? Kinda like how some novels have pictures to better explain certain scenes?

Can anyone tell me what scenes need to be illustrated? Please remember that I do not have the computer programs that Opus and GreyKitty do. Mine are all hand-drawn. I have not gotten a chance to read the story and will probably not till tommorrow.

I'll PM some of them soon. phylogeny wrote: Do we have a webpage specifically dedicated to the virtual season? If not I can probably make one on my webspace. I'm in the process of making a news article to post on the site, so that's soon to be taken care of. I'll have a teaser summary of the story and some artwork (when we get some). And of course it'll also ask for volunteers for writing and art tasks as well as a few other miscellaneous tasks. Godzillawolf wrote: Here's a suggestion. Mmm, we'll most likely go with the comic format for some of the reasons phylogeny mentioned... however, as I said before, the amount of artworks/illustrations that can be done is directly dependent on the number of artists willing to volunteer to work on the VS. In other words - we'll do whatever we can. PrtyWatrPrincess wrote: Can anyone tell me what scenes need to be illustrated? And don't worry, you can read it when you have the time. When you do read it, keep a list of any suggestions you may have as well as any scenes that you think would look good illustrated.

But if we're going to make a comic, we will have to show everything, aren't we? Or will we make some parts into comics and some others stay textual? (that would seem strange)
