Not sure if this has to do with the updates on the site, but my 'New messages' keeps changing back and forth everytime I go to a new pages, everytime it either says:

0 new messages, 1 unread message,

or

0 new messages, 2 unread messages,

or

0 new messages, 4 unread messages,

or finally

0 new messages,

Then everytime I click one of these, I see NOTHING new in my PMs. Once again, I don't know if this has to do with the updates.

Well the number of unread messages used to be wrong, so I checked into that and changed the way I manage it on the site. Now it recalculates automatically the number of unread messages.
Although I forgot to add the user id in my query, so it would recalculate it and store it as the result for everyone ;) Now it should be better.

Its better now...man you had 53 unread messages?! I feel sorry for you!

Anyway, so far I haven't had much trouble that hasn't been posted.

This wasn't caused by the site move...it was happening on the old server too, but the word "*****" is no longer censored in the shout box, and neither are its other forms. I don't know if it was an intentional change or a glitch, but just wanted to make you aware that it's not being blocked.

The wrong pictures

In the fanimage gallery, when you click "send" and it comes up with the rules? ... It's Lion king pictures on the Balto source. It's actually funny, because it says "Balto-related pictures only," and then it's got a picture of Nala.

=> Not a bug, for now - I will change that later

Occaisonally, this error can pop up under "Permission To Use" on fan chars:
"Notice: Undefined index: 0 in /home/steetboris/animsource/inc/chars.php on line 538
: "

This happened to me on my character Suka's profile page (http://www.animationsource.org/balto/en ... /8093.html) but I've seen it on other people's profile pages as well.

=> Corrected (at least for the ones where it occured)

EDIT - Also, an asterisk in the fan character's name will not show up in the URL of the character, making creating characters that already have their name used rather difficult. The problem with mine was Tara*** and Tara was the same to the fan char system.

=> I don't consider that as a problem...An asterisk isn't a real character and not enough to distinguish one name from another.

I thought it was fixed, but I keep getting logged out of the forums everyday still.

=> It should be corrected; if it isn't, try emptying your browser cache and your browser cookies.

Spambot assault on the forums! The CAPTCHA isn't working anymore, with obvious conseguences... I've deleted a lot of spam messages from bots in the past few days. I know it isn't properly a bug, but this topic is the fastest way to contact you.

There is no CAPTCHA, and registration on the forums is entirely deactivated. They're probably registering on the site.
Recently I had disabled the email activation, maybe this has something to do with that - I have re-enabled it.

It is fixed, but maybe your browser didn't like the change - in that case, delete your browser cookies and try again.

Really? Then how did you prevent spambots from raiding BS until now? A simple email activation shouldn't stop them...

Because I'm using a "custom" registration page. That's all. Recently they've become a little more "clever" apparently, although it was enough to keep them away for the last 4 years. (I didn't even have activation until recently!)

Bots are made up to work with pre-made registrations pages, like the ones the phpBB forums use.
If they still come even with the activation process, I'll add a simple question like "What's the name of the website?" to reject them. (more than enough!)
I didn't add the email activation to prevent robots, but to make sure people entered valid emails.

(I HATE the CAPTCHAs!!! I assure you will never encounter one on my sites.)
