She never really expressed interest, from what we have seen, and so it's safe to assume she never got training. With dogs, you need to train from a very early age to be a good sled dog. And, as you said, she was just too wild and free to be one.

Well, she IS part husky, and huskies pull sleds. And being part only contributes.

I know not ALL do, but they were bred to do so. Therefore, it's a natural thing for huskies to run. Whether they pull a sled or not, it's still in there genes.

I think Aleu would make a terrible sled dog, and an even worse alpha. And it's not just because of my hatred for the character herself.

1) From the start, Aleu altho she loves humans, has trouble with authority.

2) Aleu is too soft. She may not have been a pet, but she's still just as domestic if not more domestic than her own father. She may have "magic powers" but she still lacks instinct where she needs it. She's lived too sheltered a life to adapt to actual rough terrain, especially having lived on the beach or in Rosie's home for her whole life.

3) She's undersized. Let's face it, even Balto was shrimpy, and he's full-grown, she's only a year old.

4) She's not exactly known for her speed. Yeah, she runs, but she's not seen as fast. If anything she's seen as an average runner.

So not only does she not listen, is small, not fast, and not strong, she's basically lost any worthwhile skill of being a sled dog. And in turn lost any further reason to be an alpha of any wolf pack anywhere.

If you changed her entire lifestyle and personality, then yeah, maybe she'd be a good sled dog.

Or you could do your own research before spouting out random things? (I know, it's a hard concept.)

Her dad used to mush maybe it be okay for her but she also could be too stubborn to take others.
