Fang curled up and got the best sleep he'd had in years.
"He's always jumping to conclusions on people." said Mel. "I'll admit it now, Duke turned out to be an awful nice guy." he said. "But Kodi thought he was a coldhearted man without even getting to know him." he said. "I might be a bit paranoid but I don't jump to conclusions till I meet the person myself."

Dipsy leapt with a great grown and clawed her way to the first hinge, she very slowly took it out with her teeth and spat it on the ground, then she edged her way to the second hinge and got it out with her teeth. The door swung open, making Dipsy fall in the boiler room. "Kodi! Ya mutt what happened here?"
Kodi perked his head and ears up as the short gray dog fell off the door. "Fang and Abini came in here, and locked me out!" He growled, jumping off the crates.

"You know, I like you Kodi but sometimes you can have a downright rotten temper." he said, looking to Dipsy to say something.

Kodi stared hard at Mel. "So? Its probably for a good reason!" He growled, sprinting out of the boiler room without thanking Mel and Dipsy for saving him.
Dipsy sighed and looked at Mel hopelessly. "Can we sleep now?" She asked boredly with a yawn.

"I figure Kodi's consious will catch up to him like last time." said Mel. "Kodi's too old to get punished by his father anymore." he said. "All Balto can do is give him a stern talking to, Kodi normally figures out his dad was right in the end.
