Chad stopped too, gulped a few times and blushed even more, then he finally turned his head towards Denya.
"I... I think I'm.. falling in love with you" he finally got the words out of his mouth.

Denya looked at Chad, she was very embarassed about this, she didn't know what to say! Chad was a really good boy, she knew that he was special but she wasn't sure if her feelings were trus or they were just a strong friendship feeling...she did two steps back and closed her eyes, she had to think, she had to know if her feeling were the same as him or not.

Chad knew that what he just told Denya came as a little shock for her, so he took a few steps away from her, pinned his ears down and lowered his tail between his back legs.
"I... I know that was shocking, and I'm sorry... But I really just to tell you" he mumbled, and turned his head away from Denya properly.
"I understand if... you don't feel the same way" he then said, sounding a little sad and turned away from Denya.

Denya was frozen, she hear what Chad say about if her didn't feel the same, but really, she has never been in a situation like this one and so, she didn't know what to do, she wasn't still sure about what were her feelings for Chad and so, she decided to take some time "It's...it's not that I don't feel anything for you Chad, I know that you're special for me but...I need to know if the feeling that I have for you it's just a strong friendship or more..." she said and she sadly ran home, leaving Chad there...

Chad looked after Denya with a confused look on his face, he felt he had scared her away, and that made him feel pretty sad.
"Denya, wait!" he called after her, but she was too far to hear him. Chad lowered his ears down sadly, sighed quietly and walked away...

Denya didn't hear that Chad called her and after some minutes she arrived at home. For the firt time she found that home cold and empty and she really wanted to cry but, she doesn't know why, something inside her told her to not do that but she couldn't resist anymore and cryed a lot, she was in the middle of the house, in the living room, all alone and this made her feeling more sad...this time her mother wasn't there and it was time that Denya understood that her mother would not be with her forever so, she tried to calm down and relax...

Chad walked away from the town, all the way to the beach, then he finally stopped and looked behind him, towards Denya's house. He had a sad look on his face, and he sighed heavily. Then, Chad turned his back to the town, went to the hill that separated Nome from the forest and sat down. He raised his head, and watched as the northern lights were dancing on the sky...

Denya was trying to sleep but since she was alone in a big house, she was a bit scared and so, she stood up and walked around a bit, she stopped in front of the bigger window of the house to look outside the Northern Lights in the sky, she always liked watching them, she did it a lot of time in Balto's boat when she was a pup...she thought about was was just happened near that boat...she tried to get rid of those thought but she sooner understood that she couldn't.

Chas was still sitting in the hill, watching the northern lights dancing in the sky. The cool winter breeze was blowing into his dark grey fur and tail, but he didn't care. Chad wondered what it would be like to watch the northern lights with Denya, and if she was wondering the same thing. He couldn't get Denya out of his mind, and he also wondered if she was thinking about what he just told her. Chad was afraid. He was afraid that she wouldn't feel the same way towards him, and that she wouldn't even want to be his friend anymore. All these thoughs ran trhough Chad's head, and now he felt a small tear rolling down on his cheek. Then, he pinned his ears down, and lowered his head sadly.

Denya shook her head, trying to send far away those thoughts but they were still in her mind and so, she thought about that wonderfoul day, when she met Chad just for accident, the happyness when she saw that he wasn't bad injured in his grandpa's boat...she smiled at those moments, she had a really wonderfoul day but then, she lowered her ears "Oh I ruined everything!" she shouted but no one could hear her since she was alone at home...she walked around the room, thinking about what to do...Chad was a very good guy, yes and now she was sure about her feelings but since she was a pup, she liked another guy, that would never be with her because she was too young...

The cool winterbreeze blowed into Chad's fur, as he now rose up to his feet and still looked at the northern lights. He wanted to go see Denya, but then again he was afraid that she might not want to see him, or that she was mad at him. Chad pinned his ears down, lowering his head and then headed back to the town.

Denya shook her head again, no, that male was an old story, a puppy first love, this time it could be a real love, a life love, and she ruined everything...now she was sure that Chad thought that she didn't want to stay with him and so, he didn't want to see her again since she broke his heart... "I'm a disaster!" she shouted

Chad was slowly walking towards Nome, with his head lowered and his tail between his legs. He wanted so desperatly to go to Denya's house, but he was just too afraid to face her. Chad stopped when he reached Balto's boathouse, wondering if she was there, but then he remembered how she ran all the way to her house, so he just kept walking towards the town.

Denya wasn't stand anymore, she was sitting in front of the window, she was looking outside, just to spend some time since she knew that she couldn't sleep after what happened before...she sighed many times, wondering why her mother wasn't there to help her, to tell what to do...she turned to the empty roon and laid down on the carpet...
