"Sammy? That's cute..."Blue winked. "I like it." He smiled.

"I thought you might." Naira said softly. She silently picked up the kitten and dropped it back into the house near Sophie.
Naira put her head in her paws, lost in thought

would now be a good time?

Blue sat in the front yard. He was relaxed and content. Ahh...wonderful
day... He thought. He seemed to of forgotten about the fox. The breeze
whipped through his fluffy fur. Mabey now I should tell her how
I feel.... Blue thought to himself. It's been awhile and...mabey...just mabey
... Blue thought. Het got up, shook his blue coat, and walked up to Naira.

Naira eyed BLue who was sitting in the gras enjoying the breeze.

I have to tell him sometime she thought. I can't keep putting it off, I have to, I have to tell im now, he is like no other dog I have ever had in my life Naira wanted to stand up but her legs wouldn't move. Blue walked over to her, Naira looked up at him.
she cleared her throat, "Blue," I have to tell you something," Naira began

Blue sat down infront of her. "Um..okay..and I need to tell you somthing too...."
Blue started. "I..um..." Blue couldn't get the words to come out. He took a
deep breath. "Naira...I....can't do this....You tell me first, then I promise
I'll tell you." Blue said.

oh boy I have to go first

Naira tried to find the right words to express her feelings.
"Er, Blue? I know we are friends and all, but, thats, changed a little..well actually a lot. I feel something towards you that I have felt toward noone else in my entire life. You know what I went through, because it happened to you too, you understand me. The things is.." Naira took a deep breath, "I want to be more than just friends. I-I love you Blue."

Blue couldn't say anything. He nuzzled her. "It's...just what I wanted to tell you...." He smiled.
Oh thank gosh! What if she hadn't said that! What if she-no...no...It's all good now. He
Thought to himself. "Oh Man...Naira...were...perfect for eachother...." Blue managed to say.

"Blue.." Naira breathed... "your my one and only.."

he loves me back.... what more could I ask for..somebody who loves me..after all I have been through..
Naira nuzzled him back. She didn't want this to end...

Blue hoped time would just freeze, right then. leaving them together. But when the sun
witch shone gold and brightened the day, slunk over the now purpleish colored moutians,
he knew he had to get home, before his owner got suspitious. "I'll see you first thing tomarrow morning,
promise!" Blue said getting up. "Because if I don't go know, our owner would chain me up, thinking I'd run away." Blue sighed.

The sun sunk low over the mountains, shining the last bit of brightness on the couple, engulfing them in an angelic light.
Naira knew Blue would have to leave soon.
no..no..dear God..don't let this end...

"I'll be on the porch, tomorrow." Naira whispered,"waiting for you.."
She nuzzled him one last time.
"You should go now.." she said, " i don't want you to get in trouble."

Blue sighed and went on. About half way home, he was greeted by his owner. "Where have you been boy?" He asked taking him inside. Blue walked right into his dog house. Not on top. He was happy and sleepy.
But before he could get to sleep, he was met by Yonic. "Yo! What have you been up to?" Yonic asked.
"Yonic, just let me sleep." Blue groaned.

Naira could not sleep that night. She tossed and turned. Grumbling, she crawled out of the gunny sack (which now served as her bed) and went to her water bowl. Lapping up the fresh water helped clear her mind. A soft mew sounded from the kitchen. It was Sam. He snuggled next to Naira's leg and purred. Naira leaned over and licked his head.
who knew that this tiny kitten would rouse the motherly instincts I didn't know I had?

Practice for blue seemed to last forever. He couldn't stand it. Runnign was his life but now somthing more important, someone more important made it only second best, and now, least. He
ran faster that day, hoping to just hurry to go see Naira. Fanaly, it was ready to leave. Blue was always last to be unhooked because he was a wheel dog. Fainally he was unhooked from the team and rushed down
the road. He skidded to a stop when he finaly reached Her house. "Naira!" He called.

Naira had been waitingfor him at the porch,most of the morning. She could barely eat anything. She was so happy that Blue loved her as much as she loved him. She paced impatiently while Sam watched her with a puzzled look.
His familiar bark reached her ears. "Blue!" she cried joyfully. She tackled him into the grass, her tail wagging wildly. Sam inched his way down the porch steps to follow Naira. She hid a smile as Sam walked boldy up to Blue and tried to bark like him.

Blue let out a happy little laugh. He stuck his nose down besdie sammy. "And how are you Sam?" He asked.
He never thought he'd be attached to a cat...well...kitten. As sammy turned attiontion to a bug in the grass,
Blue faced Naira. "That may have been the longest team pratice I've ever done." He smiled. "Well it seemed
That way." Blue smiled.
