Like others said before, people, kept saying that there weren't enough movies with wolves as main characters, fewer animated or CGI that I've heard of, now they make one, it hasn't even come put yet, and people are saying, "It's crap..." I wouldn't want to end up sticking my foot in my mouth, it looks cute anyway.

The only hope for it being kind of funny is poor advertising. Its still a bad start and end for wolf movies. No one will take it seriously. Not even the audience its directed towards (children, not furries)

I'm personally just disappointed that, for the first animated film , it's not a more ambitious and well made project. Then again, it could be a fine film in the end, but judging from the trailer, that's very unlikely. I don't doubt that many people will like it blindly and no matter what though. Just as what happened with Bolt which was objectively not that good, but featured cats and dogs which are favorites for most people here, which made enough reasons for them to love it despite all the flaws.

Actually there are more wolf movies than you think, Balto, Balto II, Balto III, One stormy night, Wolf's Rain, Hokey Wolf, many people go Ga-Ga over Were wolves, so there are a little more, those are just the ones that I can remember at the moment. Also, don't forget your 'fan' animated movies-in the making. People have different opinions, personally, I think it looks like garbage.

You know, I don't know why this movie wasn't more ambitiously made. There's always the same doggie movie: They get lost, and they have to find their way back home. Easy? More like lazy. I wonder why they didn't go for a plot that's more risky, and more 'out there'. They stayed back in the safe area, where they get lost and have to find their way back home, when they could've done something more fantasy-like, maybe they could have skipped the whole Humphrey thing and Garth's pack declared war on Kate's because she wouldn't marry him!
They just think that since it's about wolves, everyone will go see it. That may be true for the younger kids, but if they made it with a more interesting plot, maybe even us adults or older kids will see it too.
But I guess they don't think about that, huh?

Hrrm, I do not go gaga over werewolves I'd be the one standing there with a shotgun...but for me I'm just gonna see it, perhaps a movie where wolves just kill everybody would be more interesting. Bolt for me was halfway decent, I just didn't like some of the casting. Perhaps the real people who critic movies might say something different, perhaps not, but, whadeva. Have anyone of you ever made a CGI movie before? Just saying it's a movie for kids, it doesn't have to please everyone, there are other movies you could call garbage instead of this one...

[so late to this, aren't I???]
I first saw the trailer for this a month ago, and I have to admit... I first loved the fact that they have a reference to the actual positions of wolves that live in a pack [Alphas are the leaders, Omegas are the butt of the joke.... the lowest of the low, so to speak]. If it has more reference to the actual lives of wolves, I would be sold... seriously.
The story sounded like an obvious reason to bring the Alpha and the Omega together in the most unlikely manner, because that's what these movies do nowadays. Both of the main characters seem predictable even in the sudden plot, but it's the goose and the duck that I've seen on the latest posters that make me scream "Balto" somehow.... Mainly the goose.
And to be honest, I don't like the fact that everyone's all "see it in 3D" when it comes to movies nowadays. This one I'd stick to watching in 2D.... it's already 3-dimensional as it is and so far, it looks pretty good. Yes, I would see this regardless, not just because it's a film about wolves ....oh wait.

Clip 1: Okay, so the same thing was shown, only this time you see the wolves move in a very creepy way on TWO-LEGS. And you see more of the characters falling from the sky. WHY IS EVERYONE FALLING? Is that, like, to show how AWESOMELY FUNNY it is?? Where the heck is everyone falling from!? And where did Humprey find that VINE? I had no idea VINES grew in CANADA.
And I'm seriously getting sick of this rabid bear attack trend. We've seen it in Balto 1, Balto 2, Brother Bear, Fox and the Hound, and a number of other movies. It was somewhat cool to see them use something DIFFERENT in Balto 3, cuz moose are nutso crazy. Why can't we see some cougar attacks? I know thats rare, but apparently bear attacks happen all the time! Or how about a bull bison attack?? Something... not a bear -_- Or a human for that matter. No need to shove in our face how "OMG HUMANS ARE BAD"
Clip 2: Okay, if you brush off the stalker vibe you get from Humprey, that scene would actually be kind of funny. ("clever omega" what??) Is Kate SERIOUSLY ALL he has on his mind? In EVERY CLIP of him, he's just GUSHING over her. And its PATHETIC. Ten bucks says he's the most annoying character in the world, next to Aleu.
Clip 3: Caribou. Awesome. Cuz wolves eat nothing else. Not deer, reindeer, bison, rabbits... Lets not forget that wolves use kung-fu to get their prey.
Clip 4: Cuz the movie needs to fit in somewhere to remind us that 3-D can be fun.
Clip 5: Nice quality, or lack thereof. Oh I just love these 30-second advertisements that count on you to have an attention span. We can clearly see that the movie is gonna be chock-full of references "adults" are going to "get" and yet at the same time not find funny, while their children laugh at something they don't even understand. And look, we see Kate run right into a tree. I hope this also wasn't one of those commercials that show you all the funny scenes in the movie, cuz that one woulda been it xD

To be honest, those clips make me want to save my money instead of going to see it.

I am writing a novel in which wolves are the main characters. My motivation to see this movie is there because of that fact.

Still, the only reason I'll rent the DVD of this is to see just how daft it is.
Sure, it's a wolf movie and I enjoy wolf movies but this looks so silly. If I want to see a wolf movie I'll just watch Balto again or flick on White Fang (the live action one, not the rubbish animated one). Something that doesn't look as mind-numbing as this.
Good wolf movies = yesplz! Silly kiddy wolf movies = ;;
