"I've seen lots of dogs in heaven," Luna said. "Why don't you describe her to me." Luna had seen the pups mother in heaven, but she thought that getting them to talk about her would bring her closer to the pups.
Suki couldn't hear the conversation in Cutlass's head, though she could see that Alex was next to him. And it was raining on only him. "Are you talking to him?" she asked either one of the wolves.

Luke thought back. "She had brown fur...she was so pretty." he said. "Until Kira..." he started but burst into tears. He could remember seeing Kira grab their mother and crush her skull in her paws, a stream of blood trickling from her mouth.
"Yes." said Alex, disappating the rain.

Luke buried his face in his sister's shoulder and cried. "I know...I just wish it hadn't been such an awful death." he said.
Alex stopped the rain. Alright, long story short, I was asigned to watch over Suki and help her do something importent. I do that, I get my wings, but of course its a good thing to do. he said to Cutless. She's had a tramatic experience but don't bring that up, she'll tell you if she wants, I know she's stubborn but she's got a good heart deep down.

I'm glad you do. said Alex. Being an angel, I try my best to be fair to everyone so I apologize for her being so stubborn and disrespectful but she's had some troubles with her own pack...violant trouble...she wasn't the cause, she was a victim.
"But...but it had to hurt...so much." said Luke, remembering seeing his mother scream and wraith in agony until a sickening crack signaled her skull being crushed and killing her. "And why...did it happen right in front of us?"

"Katana's right, though," Luna said. "Heaven is a wonderful place. And your mother still watched over you."
"So, she can hear us now," Lily assumed. "Then, I want to tell you that I miss her and I love her and I;m glad she likes where she's at."

Luke sniffed back tears. "I'm glad she's in a good place." he said. "I miss her and love her too, we all do." he said. "And I hope we'll see her again someday."

"Well, thank you," Suki said sarcastically to Alex. "So," Suki said, not really trying to start a conversation.
"Katan's right, Luke," Lily said, nuzzling her little brother. "We have to be strong for Momma."
Luna smiled at the pups, not thinking that she was needed to comfort them. They were doing a fine job of comforting each other.

"So Cutlass, you're an Alpha Wolf, right?" asked Alex, both telepathically in Cutlass' mind and outloud so Suki could hear.
Luke nodded. "That's right, and now that we're free, once we get back to the pack, Kira's hostages are gone and there's nothing keeping the wolves from stopping her." he said. He looked at Luna. "But we couldn't of made it out of the cave without you Luna, thank you very much." he said.
