Freya's eyes narrowed as she heard Daiku's words. Her breathing remained steady, the sound echoing softly through the cave. Why does he need this unity? Is he the type to go for power? Like Granger's supposed plan. But I remember this pup and he should not seem the type to want the power, but this is getting a bit dubious. She kept her gaze on him, eyes unwavering. "Before I comment, I want to know what the exact purpose of this unity is and what will be the outcome for both parties." Her bark rang confidently and professionally, no hint of a violent reaction in her voice.

Daiku sensed her doubting in him and was quick to respond, "This will not only insure no more future wars to break out, but it will allow us to combine our lands and make plenty of hunting ground for us all, rumor says that hunting groups get into fights with eachother over food. I have no idea what else we fight over, but if it is to continue, it just might be the end for us all. or we come to a realization to late, resulting in maybe extinction of the fire wolves, perhaps the wind wolves. my last count said there numbers are dwindling to a very small digit.

Freya narrowed her mind. His logic was sound. True, there were reports of squabbles here and there. Perhaps this was a precursor of what things were to come. If borders existed another Granger may appear and a cause of conflict due to said boundaries would affect everyone. We could lose the WindWolves and the FireWolves in one more confrontation as big as the last one. Internally she nodded her head in agreement but something within her prevented the actual display of this idea. Why am I so hesitant? She glanced out the window. Is it the power that I want? She examined her conscience to try and determine the root of this hesitation within her. This was a possible good for everyone, perhaps her instincts were telling her that there was a catch to this whole thing.

When she turned to look at Daiku again she barked calmly, "How exactly are we going to unify the clans? Under name and oath alone?"

BIC// Daiku sighed when she asked him that, "We can only have peace by union of bloodlines, that means one of us has to find a mate, one who is a decendant from ground wolves, or in your case, sky wolves." He waited to see her reaction, he thought to himself, "Wow, the only thing i haven't thought about is whats needed for peace, go figure."

Hayumi settled restlessly, she wanted to run for some reason, the whole pack seemed tense."Whats going on?" SHe whispered to herself.

Xinal also sensed the restlessness that dwelved on in the pack but he noticed that the beta was doing his best to keep everrone calm. When he turned to look back at Hayumi she seemed to be troubled. He approached her and sat down beside her. "Äre you alright?"

Freya looked at Daiku as if he had uttered some fallacy. Take a mate from the other pack? That sounded ridiculous in her opinion. But she slowly turned it in her head. It made sense that in order to eliminate conflict between the two packs there should be only on pack. However... she didn't want a mate. Not yet. She hung her head trying to think over the options. "So... have you chosen?" She asked bitterly. If this is what's best for the two packs then... she'll have to go along with it. "I assume you'll be the one to choose first. Considering your male, alpha, luna wolf and all." A teasing grin formed on her maw, "you have a crush of someone in my pack?" She joked. So much for her formal shell.

Hayumi shrugged "I-I am just worried, all of my life I've been told I'm a demon, an dnow I'm told I'm the complete oppisate.And the whole pack feels so tense and worried, and I want to know if its me?Do they fear that since I too am a luna that it will cause a uproar?" Her voice seemed weak with worry "Or is it something else that onlt few know?But all can feel?" She looked into Xinal's eyes, it looked as if she were reading his soul, but she was just looking for a answer.

When hesaw her get unformal he sighed, "I dont have any crushes... i ws hoping that you'd have one..." he thought about it and could only think of one word, "Oh no, now what are we gonna do?" here they were, two pack leaders with a big problem and no solution to it, "Any ideas?"

Xinal looked worriedly at Hayumi seeing her eyes bore into him. It was a bit unsettling having someone stare into his eyes that way. He shook his head answering her question, "No, it's not because of you. Everyone's worried about the current problems that we have between the two packs. Our alphas are meeting right now to try and solve that problem." He glanced at the den the alphas had entered, "However others are concerned how this is going to turn out." He looked to the sky and remembered the raining pillars of earth that used to fly over this specific field. He recalled the water that flooded past and even his own lightning that crackled through the air. After a few moments he even started to smell the tang of blood and hear the dying howls of wolves around him. He visibly shut his eyes and folded his ears to try and drive out the sound. His body shook as he relived the battle. Then he remembered Granger... his eyes flaring into angry slits and unwittingly bared his teeth.

Freya looked at him. "Is there any way around this?" She asked, "Does it have to be an alpha who will bind the two packs together?" The moment she said this she knew it sounded like a stupid idea. The only logical way for two packs to be united was through the leaders. If the top was unified then the rest should follow. If one of lower stature like say at the bottom were to be the ones to be united, the top my not follow as easily. "Why am I hesitating so much?" She muttered to herself looking away. Then a reality struck her. Is there someone I already like? She wondered, but how come I myself don't know... unless its the unconscious me that has chosen one... but who would that be? She wanted to cry. Her brain was getting so tired. She wasn't even sure if she liked someone in her own pack. And now this current scenario is bearing down heavily on her mind.

But for the sake of my pack, I won't crack. She looked back at Daiku awaiting a response to her earlier stupid question.

Hayumi nuzzled his neck slightly, trying to comfort him "Shh now, no need to fear." She looked back up, her voice was like a string of harp.Her tail moved to her side, ears back as her eyes scanned him, looking for any sign of anything.

Xinal snappe dout of the mental reverie that had gripped his consciousness. He was shocked to find this luna wolf nuzzling his neck. The fur stood on the back of his neck and he tried to inch back a bit. This was getting a tad bit too uncomfortale. He did leap out of the way, worried that he would hurt the other's feelings for rejecting the attempt at trying to calm him down. Xinal's face was obviously labelled: nervous.

Trying to make her back away abit he tried to distract her with something else. "So uh... mind if I ask where you come from?" He barked hoping that she would pull away when she answered him. "I mean, location: like from the north, or from the south, not the pack whereyoucamefrombecauseyouobviouslydon'twanttotalkaboutthat." Xinal didn't realize that his muttering started to speed up. He really was getting unsettled.

Hayumi giggled "If you think that nuzzle meant anything then your dead wrong Xinal." She smirked, her tail wrapped it self around her legs."And I come from the small lake up hill, well, its not my birthplace or anything." She muttered, her eyes drifted off to the den where Freya and Daiku left for.She looked back at Xinal and smiled, hoping that he wouldn't be offended from her not liking him.

Xinal dipped his head politley as he backed away as well. "Sorry I was just taken by surprise. It just reminded me of somone I used to know." he beamed trying to make sure that he still looked friendly trying to cover up the feeling of embarrasment that welled up in him. "Up the lake you say..." He said after she answered his question. "I remember passing there on my way here. I myself came from the east. A very old pack." He told her, his eyes reminicing but his mind still in the present. "I liked that lake. It was a huge one right? Surrounded by trees?" After he said that he realized that he wasnt sure if what he remembered was the same lake.

"Whoops, I think I might've mistaken your lake for a different one." He tried to laugh out his embarrasment. Gee... what's wrong with me?
