"Yes, I know," Suki said to Luke. "Well, the sewers sounds like a better place than the streets," she said to Jarret.
"Can we go with you guys?" Jess asked. "I've always wanted to get out of this town, anyways."
"Jess!" a voice called in the alley. Rust trotted in. "There you are, Jess," he said. He looked at the dogs around his little sister. "Who are you and what are you doing with my sister?"

Luke looked up at Suki. "Suki, what's a sewer?" he asked, hearing them saying they were going into the sewer.

Rust growled a little at Jarret's story. He didn't like males of any sort around his sister.
"Rust, would you calm down," Jess said. She didn't want him to loose his temper.
"It like a plumbing system. With pipes expect really big," Suki said. "Thats where humans put all their used and unclean water."

"According to her, she's been living with your mother for the past few years." said Jarret. "Look, I know people like you, you don't like the idea of a male being around your sister." he said. "I get that but I assure you, I'm not going to hurt her or anything, if I do, you can hurt me twice as bad."
Luke nodded. "Same reason we hid in the garbage?" he asked. his tail wagged softly.

"Ok, now, your sister wanted to come with these three to get out of town, I guess through the sewer." said Jarret. "I'm going with her but I guess you'll have something to say about it but your sister's will seems a little too strong for you to argue her into submission easily."
Luke blushed and nuzzled her. "I heard what you were talking to Mr. Titan about, some of it." he said. "You're not a bad person." he said. "I can see it in your eyes, you've got a good heart, that's all that matters."
