Hatari's eyes flashed open. He had jsut woken up from a small nap he decieded he wanted to ahve, but it was longer than he wanted. Then he relised that none fo the other lions were in sight. Oh no!!! Im late!!! He though, getting on his golden colored paws and arcing twords the other lions. He heard them talking abou the Mngwa legand. "What about the Mngwa?" He asked in a friendly manner.

Crater looked at him seriously. "The Mngwa is real, she's got rabies, she's headed this way, she could kill us all, so we're going to get a flower that can cure her." he explained.

Zeus was about to say something when another unsettling roar tore through the air from the Mngwa. This one was a little closer but still sent a cold chill up his spine.

Hatari gasped in amazment. "I- I thought it was jsut a scary bedtime stories for cubs at night to not have them go roaming at night?" He asked. Then he heard the roar, it mad him shiver, but he remained still and didnt run for cover.

"That was the Mngwa." said Zeus. "She's coming this way so we're sending all the pride that isn't going to come get the flower, the Desert's Heart, to stay with the North Ridge Pride until we come get them or the end of the summer if we fail, because the Mngwa would die by then but we couldn't survive it till then." he said. "You want to come? If so, none of your tricks."

Hatari looked down at his big paws, his mane falling with his head. He broghut his head back up, and looked at Zeus and Crater. He nodded, saying yes. "I will come." Hatari said. This was the first time in his life he felt as he was going to be inportant. "Hopefully the rest of the prdie will be safe with Noorth Ridge's."

"Alright, seeing as we'll not be sure what we'll encounter out there, it would be a smart idea to carry whatever food we can." said Zeus. "Just incase we have to go across a wasteland, so someone should kill a gazelle or two and we carry it with us, who knows might keep the Mgnwa following us and not go after North Ridge."

Hatari nodded in agreement. "So, when do we start our journy?" He asked with intrest. He smirked.

Tangler followed Savvi as a new lion approached them. He crouched low behind Auztec scaredly, not recognizing who he was.

Auztec licked Tangler in between his ears and glared at Hatari for being late.

(If you want Alue Hatari could have a crush on Auztec but she doesn't approve, would make something going on on the journey XD.)

Hatari glanced at Auztec muchivously, then brough his brown eyes abck to Crater and Zeus. His man blew in the wind as a breeze swept by him and the other lions. He glanced down at his big paws, and for some odd reason he felt as this was going to be the bigggest part of his life. He sighed.

Savvi scowled slightly at Tangler when he hd from the new lion. 'Why are you so scared of everything, I can smell a bad lion a mile away, he isn't a bad lion, and everyone else knows him' she said, turning around to look at Hatari properly.
Thela bowed her head in greeting as Hatari joined them. 'At least some of us aren't late' she whisperedto herself but so that Hatari would hear and then walked in front of him, brushing the tip of her tail herd across his face so that it would sting. She wlked so she stood right in front of Zeus. 'When can we leave, I can start early so I cn catch a few gazelle' she said.

"We'll be leaving soon." said Zeus. "Kuma, please tell the rest of the pack not coming to head to North Ridge and stay there until we come back or a week after the end of the summer."

"Me?! I'm not scared o' nuttin!" Tangler shouted, puffing out his chest and stepping away from Auztec. When Hatari looked at Auztec he saw a glint in his eye that he didn't like. "Leave my sistah alone!" He yelled as he charged and rammed into his paw cutely, than gnawed on it, obviously it didn't hurt.
