But the odds of finding it after all this time with all this searching are really good so why haven't we found it?

Only two ideas make sense to me:

1)It's dead and died a while ago
2)It was never there in the first place

Either that, or it's really good at hiding. Scientists concede that there are hundreds of species waiting to be discovered, and Loch Ness is an ideal hiding place.
Consider this: Thomas Edison had to try more than a thousand materials before he found one that would work as a filament for the lightbulb. Now, when he made his 999th failed experiment, did that mean there was no way to make it work, or that he just hadn't tried the right way yet?

Like I said, Loch Ness has thosands of miles of underwater tunnels, which if that's were they go to rest or hide, a ship searching the loch with sonar might be frightening to the creatures, it would be almost impossible to find them.

Because of my undoubted laziness on vacations, I'm just leaving this little tidbit.

I believe.

Lost Tapes. I believe.

After I saw the Owlman of Mawnan episode, I was a complete believer. There are always things lurking in the shadows, ready to find you.

Then, there's the Hellhound, you SEE the things head!!!

Godzillawolf, I never knew you were a fan of cryptids.

God, help me. My favorite cryptid has to be the Owlman of Mawnan. They found an owl pellet left by it. Inside was a rat skull(Mainstream for an owl.) and a human JAW BONE. The pellet itself was about the size of a football too. Man, after that, I believed.

I looked up the owlman, and although I read some accounts of it attacking people, I didn't find anything about a pellet or any other physical evidence.

The Owlman is intresting. I think its related to one of my favorite Cryptids, the Mothman. I think they're of the same species. Though I'm pretty sure the Lost Tapes is fictional, from what I've found it is.

It's on Lost Tapes this Sunday, at 5 o'clock. The footage that was shot was first aired on the show since the sighting.

I haven't heard enough about Lost Tapes to make a fair judgment, but I'm skeptical. Open, but skeptical.

I finally saw the Lost Tapes. The stories in them are fictional, it says so at the end, which I assume Kodi Girl knows, but they show real evidence for the creatures during cut scenes away from the actual story. Its a pretty neat show.

Ah, kind of like what they did in "Dragons: A Fantasy Made Real." Admittedly that one used a ot more reasoning than hard evidence, but am I grasping the concept?

Yes, simular except from a handheld camera or other camera point of view with the occasional evidence showing after commurcial breaks. Its really good though, exciting. I saw the "Devil Dragon" and "Bigfoot" episodes.

Nothing more likely. There are essentially 4 key arguments for their existence, none of which to my knowledge have ever been adequately countered.
1. They are widely reported. Granted, this is a weak argument, since they are somewhat iconic. But it is an argument nonetheless. And while some of the witnesses over the years have likely been liards, drunkards, or both, there have been a number of accounts by reliable witnesses as well.
2. There's certainly enough room in the ocean for them to stay hidden. It's deeper in some places than the highest mountain on the planet, and covers about 3/4 of the planet's surface.
3. Scientists have said that there are hundreds of species yet to be discovered, most of them in the ocean. Who says sea serpents can't be in there somewhere?
4. There are cases reported of eel larvae eing caught at sea that were up to six feet long. An eel larva about the length of a man's thumbnail or so can grow into what, by most standards, is a large eel. Imagine, then, what a six-foot larva could turn into! (estimates come out to 100 feet or more!)

Good points. I believe they're among the most likely Cryptids as well. The number of sightings, including ancient sightings of the same creature very far apart, hard not to believe. The eel thing is particuarlly intriging.
