Jenna sighed, looking down for a moment. "I'm just nervous...The pups are due soon." she said "And I don't want anything to happen to you."
Kai nodded a moment, trying to look hopeful. But, he knew, even though he truly didn't, he knew. Humans were careful with wild animals.
Goldie nodded, lickign his cheek. "It hurt me too, at first, when my parents were gone. But, it's so different for you."
Katie nodded, looking very upset. "I can't believe this, my little son is coming...Next you'll be saying Kodi's coming, a day after we separated..." Which Papa may kill him for...

Balto nuzzled her. "I know." he said. "I'll be back, I promise." he said. "We've been in a lot of stuff like this and always come out alright."
Fang nodded. "Even Mako won't do anything to endanger Katie...if he's doing what we think." he said. "I'm not gonna lie, he's probably gonna try to forcebreed one of his dogs with her."
Cachen nodded. "I'll rescue her." he said. "I'm promising myself."
"Now dear, you don't honestly think your father of all wolves would kill a father with four pups do you?" asked Aniu. "Seriously now, he wouldn't think of it. I know that for a fact. He nearly died to protect your right to be with Kodi after all."

Jenna walked up to Balto, nuzzling him with a shudder. "I wish you didn't have to, or that I could go."
Kai stopped, his eyes hardening. "That's...that's very vital information..." he said, triyng to keep his teeth from baring. Suddenly, he dashed off, leaving deep pawprints in the snow.
Goldie nodded. "Promise me something?"
Katie chuckled. "Yes, but I'm sure he'd be oh so happy his efforts were rewarded by a year of love and hardship." she blinked "I'm sorry, that's your Grandson..."

Balto nodded. "I know but we have to." he said. "Would you feel better if I took Copper with me?"
OOC: Copper is my verson of the red faced pup. I'll post a bio for her if Jenna says yes.
Lena tackled her brother down and pinned him. "Where are you running off to?" she asked, serious and not wanting him to do something foolish.
"Alright." said Cachen. "What is it?"
"ITs ok." said Aniu. "I know Kodi can be a handful." she said. "But he's still in the teenaged phase, so are you you know."

Jenna pressed her face into Balto's chest. "Please..." she said, sounding scared.
"Get off me Lena!" Kai said through his teeth. He seemed even more hurt than before, it was apparent in his eyes. "I'm going ahead."
"Promise," said Goldie "you'll stay by me when we leave?"
Katie grumbled a moment. "I have a feeling wolves kept the maturity gene..." she said "I feel more committed."

"Kai, we're sticking togather." said Lena. "I don't want...I don't want to risk you getting lost or hurt or...or worse." she said, fear in her eyes. "We need to stick togather, its what momma would want."
Cachen smiled. "I promise, don't worry, I wouldn't think of it."
"Yes but you two are still young, that's why you have fights from time to time, don't worry, it will pass." said Aniu.

Kai grunted softly, laying his head down. "I need to, Lena." he said, his eyes shut. He couldn't...Not in front of Lena.
Eva smiled, her tail curling upward. "Let's go give Tai some company."
Katie nodded "I know," she said, eyes closing. "It's...so hard."

Balto nodded. "I will." he said. "I just hope I don't miss our new pups being born." he said. "I'll go get Tiga and meet up with the others, the pups should be happy to meet their aunt."
"I know you want to save mom." said Lena. "But we can't go running off trying to get a headstart on everyone else, we could get hurt and we need all our strength to save momma."
Cachen nodded and headed to see his sister.
"I was your age too once." said Aniu. "I know how hard it can be but rewarding to be able to look back on life." she said. "My memories are all I have and I'm very glad they're such good ones." she said. "Sometimes I miss being alive, feeling the snow beneath my feet...kissing my son goodnight...heck I even miss going into heat."

Jenna nodded. "Alright, go, Balto."
"Get off," Kai said, almost defeated. He couldn't hold it in much longer. He didn't want to scare her, which is why he didn't look at Lena.
Tai smiled as they stepped out, sitting at the entrance.
Goldie followed behind Cachen.
Katie laughed a moment, ears pinned back. "But that's what this guy wants...And I'll go into heat in about a week."

Balto nodded and ran off to get his daughter. "Take care Jenna."
Fang walked over. "I'll take it from here Lena." he said. He picked Kai up and took him ahead to the fox den. "I know you were coming close to losing control."
"Hi sis." said Cachen, nuzzling his sister.
Aniu sighed. "Sorry...forgot about that." she said. "You'll be out of here before they get the chance." she said, full of hope. "Trust me, I'm a spirit."

Jenna laid back down in the basket, watching Balto leave. "Oh, Balto..."
Kai nodded, getting up and slinking into the fox den. He gave no vocal noises, but rubbed his forehead against the side of the den.
Kodi sighed, knowing where Fang had gone off with Kai. "Lena," he said
Tai smiled, licking her brother's nose. "Hiya, Dad and Fang and everyone sohuld be here soon."
Katie nodded, thinking a long time before looking back up. "You know, Balto really misses you..." she said, thinking about her 'surrogate' Father. So much like her own Papa.

Balto hurried to Tiga's home, he knew of all his kids besides Kodi, Tiga was the best for this situation.
Lena looked to Kodi. "What is it papa?" she asked, her eyes full of concern for her family.
Cachen nodded. "Yeah and then we'll go get momma back."
Aniu nodded. "I know, and I miss him very much, ever since that shotgun shell went into my chest." she said. "Dieing is a strange thing, no matter how much pain you feel on earth, its all gone in heaven." she said. "But they sent me back to be a spirit guide because of my personality was perfect for one." she said. "And I have to feel pain again, because I can't comfort Balto. I'm happy though I still get to play a role in his life by guiding him."
Mako knew that Katie had family out there somewhere. He went out back to Mammoth's shed and dropped a pitbull in with him, it injected with a muscle paralizer. "Enjoy Mammoth." he said, closing the window.

Kodi looked down at her, his eyes full of concern. "Listen, you know in a situation like this, Kai wouldn't do anything stupid. And, Lena, you know he doesn't like to show his emotions...Let me tell you something," he took a deep breath, eyes slowly shutting. "I had the chance to see your Grandfather, your Momma's Father, before he died. It is the scariest thing for a daughter, son, brother, or sister, to see the strongest one you know cry." he nuzzled Lena's cheek slowly, ears back. "Do you understand?" of course, he wasn't reprimanding her, his voice was low, as if Katie was still there, they didn't talk about Bashkei much around her.
Tai smiled a moment, looking concerned for her little brother. "Well, hero, Momma'll be happy to see you." she giggled.
Katie smiled for a moment at hearing there was no pain after you died, knowing her own Mother wasn't in pain. She looked at Aniu though, ears pinned back. "But...can't you at least stick around, see him...He talks about you so much to my children. Besides, you showed yourself more then once." she smiled "Balto'd love it."
Mammoth was once again pacing about, growling to himself when the pitbull was thrown in. His back was turned, but, after her lunged, well, no one wants to know what he did.(OOC: I'm not that cruel *.* But it was unspeakable.)

Lena nodded. "Yes I understand." she said. "I'm just so worried...last time you and momma broke up...it just tore us all up inside and now I know all us pups are so afraid something will happen to our family to break it up again, even if you and momma want to be togather, we're afaid...something will happen to one of you."
Cachen nodded. "That she will." he said. "I'm glad to be her little North Star."
"ITs not that simple." said Aniu. "Being a spirit guide, I'm only able to be seen by those who are in trouble and need me, like you for example." she said. "And pups, its easy to appear to pups but only when they're too young to speak." she said. "I can turn into an animal to touch them but I can't stay phsyical for very long and obviously its hard to come in contact with my son as a fox or something."
Mako laughed evilly and went back inside.

I would never leave her, at least, not again." his voice turned hard and serious "But, we're still very much young...And it's hard for us." he shook his head lightly "But, what I'm trying to say, about Kai, he doesn't want to frighten you, or anyone else."
Tai smiled, licking Cachen's cheek lightly. "I hope she's alright."
Katie nodded. She closed her eyes for a long time. "I can't believe I have failed...failed to show my children my side of themselves." she chuckled "Thank goodness for Kai. He must be heartbroken." her smiled faltered for a moment.
After a few moments, blood and flesh adorned the walls of the shed, some even leaking out of the wood. Mammoth was breathing heavily, blood covering his pelt.
