Niara licked the pup."It's okay,little one.Don't worry."she took the pup near Balto and Jenna."Here it is.I know it will not make any sense to you.I'm supposed to be her mother from now.I have to take care of it...I'm Tear's friend..."she said,nuzzling the pup.

The little pup looked up at Niarra with tiny innocent eyes that flashed with Amber. Tear had always wanted to name a child Amber. "M...ommy" Amber manage to squeak out of her tiny mouth. Though she was a fox, she had the exact same colors of Balto. No doubt that she was his daughter. Even if she wasnt.

One year later
Amber walked down a street inside Nome and looked up at the dawn light. Some dogs where out and about this morning. some of them gave her distant glares thought amber did not know why. Her only friend was an young dog named Levi. Of course her mom and some adults where nice to her. But they weren't her friends. Levi could play with Amber, watch watch sled races, and everything else. They where best friends. She and Levi liked to share stories with each other in the dog sled house. She had heard the one about the mighty Balto.
He was the greatest dog the world has every known! Until now.
She also knew that a few days before her birth, Balto had committed a terrible crime. Levi never told her ho he did it to. Balto lived in a boat in the outskirts, unable to get within 100ft of his former mate, Jenna. Amber's "mother", Niarra, kept talking about this fox named Tear but amber decided not t py attention to it. I man, why listen to tale that will never gain you any effort? Unfortunately , Amber was wrong

Niara was walking around and looking for her not true daughter,Amber."Amber!Amber!Where are you?"she shouted and looked around.She started to walk deeper in the town when she finally saw her.Sitting.She walked up to her."Here you are,daughter!I finally found you!Where have you been?It's late now."she asked and nuzzled "her" daughter,her best friend's Tear's daughter.She sat near Amber and thoughtOnly if you've be here,Tear...Your daughter is lost in the thoughts...Me too...Then she felt something.Felt that she have to find some way Amber to talk with her true mother.She knew that this would be impossible,but she had to because Amber never believed of her telling her stories about her true mother,Tear...She had to find a way then to talk...alone...She felt asleep and yawned."I'm tired,Amber.If you'll need me,i'll be in my den.See you later."she said and walked to her den.

Balto walked along the snowy walkways of Nome, alone as usual nowadays. He still felt lost because he couldn't be with his family, and angry that he was innocent and charged guilty. But time heals all wounds, and it was a year since the dreadful events had taken place. He was coping better now he had something to devote his love to. He found a young scruffy fox that looked uncanily like Balto. He ruffled her fur and smiled. "Hello, Ambie." he said (nickname? lol).
And of course he couldn't bring himself to hate this fox cub, the daughter of the fox that had destroyed his life. He loved her like she was his own, his heart felt no remorse for her at all. He and Niara shared parenting duties, even though Balto made it clear that they weren't mates.
Why? Becasue every time he opened his eyes in the morning, and closed them again at night, he saw Her. Jenna. Smiling and laughing. And he knew that deep down he could never love anyone else... the wound on his heart would never heal.

Niara woke up and walked outside.Amber didn't came...Okay,i'll look for Balto...she thought and walked in one place.She found Balto talking with Amber."Here you are daughter.Hello Balto."she said then walked up to him and whispered to his ear"I would like to talk with you alone.There is a big question i cannot answer alone."she said and moved her head off and smiled.She wanted to know what to do next...

Amber sighed and watched Niarra and Balto walk away. She hadn't spoken since yesterday at lunch. She had never really noticed that her "mother" did not share even the same kin like scent as herself. Now she was troubled for no reason at all. As she looked up at the clouds that trudged over the sky, she felt as if something was missing. A face of a young beautiful fox appeared in a cloud, the face vaguely familier. Then a memory flashed through her eyes like lightning.
She could smell the bitter and salty scent of blood all around her. As she looked up, she saw a kind face nuzzle her cheek. Then that face fell, never to rise again.
Amber flashed back and fell down. "What the?" She wondered.

Levi looked up groggily. He must have fallen asleep last night when he went for a midnight stroll. "What is it you want now?" He asked irritated, after all, his head hurt.

Niara walked a bit more then sat down."Look Balto.We all know who is real Amber's mother.I try to tell her that but she won't listen to me.I think she notices that our scent is a bit different...Balto,what should we do?She didn't even listen to me often.I think she have to meet or talk with Tear.I know that this is impossible cause Tear is died,but have to find some way or everything will go really wrong...Do you understand,Balto?"she said,a bit with tears and looked deeply at his eyes."I can't take whole care of her alone.You have to help me too.You are the father,Balto...Her father...We have to find a way them to talk...
