Mist licked Luke's cheek, licking up some of the tears. "That's gonna need some cool water," she said, studying the hurt paw. "Lets go find a stream or something." She picked Luke by the scuff of the neck so he wouldn't have to walk on his hurt paw, and carried him out of the spring.

Luke sniffled but smiled. "Thank you momma." he said and nuzzled her. He was glad to have someone smarter about this kind of thing than he did. He still kept his tail tucked between his legs, he was in pain from his paw that made him a little sad. "I forgot the middle of springs were so hot."

Mist carried Luke and lead the others to a slow-moving river. She set Luke down at the water's egde. "Soak your paw in that cold water for a while," she told the pup. "It'll feel better soon."
Alex stared at Shayla. "I don't think you do." He looked forward again.

Luke nodded and dipped his little paw in the cool water. "That feels good momma." he said and repeated doing it. "Momma, where are we going now? I know you're trying to get away from Jacob, whoever that is, but where are we going to go?"

"My papa told me of a lot of cool places." said Luke. "There's a valley on the other side of the mountians that can't be seen from above because there's always a thick mist above it but its really beutiful and it seems like a good place you could hide but you've got to take a leap of faith so to say to get to it because its too dangerous to go down the mountian in the thick fog, you have to jump in just the right spot to land in a lake but papa said its worth it. He showed me were to jump and I remember if you'd like me to show you."

Alex sighed. "I'll answer." There was a short pause while he thought about his feelings for Mist. "Never mind," he said finally. "I want to answer, I just can't, I don't know the answer just yet."
"If your sure you know where it is..." Mist said. "Then, I guess you're leading for the rest of the trip."

Luke nodded. He went back to the spring which he remember his dad showing him. He looked at the mountians a moment before pointing to one the with the trees looked like a bird's head. "That mountain, you've got to jump from were it looks like the tip of the birds beak."

"Great,now I can't find Mist and her pup."Daelie Smelled hot springs and ran to it seeing paw prints "It....could be Luke and Mist's pawprints." She followed the paw prints carefully to follow the right track. She then found Mist and shouted "Hey! Mist!!"

"Don't worry," Mist said to Lily. "I know her." She waited for Daelie to catch up to them. "What do you need?"
Alex sighed. "Lets hurry up. I don't want to loose Mist yet." Alex bgan trotting hurriedly. He turned to follow Mist's trail, watching for movement ahead of him. They finally made it to a hot spring. "They wer here," Alex siad, slightly out of breath.
